To think it’s impossible to vote for Boris Johnson after this morning’s interview?

berringer · 01/12/2019 10:33

How anyone watching this interview can conclude that Johnson has the seriousness, dignity, judgment or sensitivity to be Prime Minister is beyond me.

Blaming Labour's laws on early release for the London Bridge attack, when the Tories have been in power for 10 years, during which the UK has faced about 10 terror attacks and the Tories chose not to change the laws.

“It’s all Labour’s fault” says man whose party slashed police numbers, devastated the prison and probation service through cuts, and said there was no money for deradicalising terrorists.

Boris Johnson steam rollering Andrew Marr with endless election slogans shows exactly why he wanted this format and not Andrew Neill 🙄

really depressing stuff

Better get used to it. Looks like the lying self-centered misogynistic creep may be about to get elected.

ChristaMSieland · 01/12/2019 10:37

They are all depressing. Johnson (islamophobia, misogyny, snobbery, bigotry), Corbyn (anti-Semitism, misogyny, crazy approach to defence, too keen on extremists, terminally elusive & indecisive), Swinson (more -super strength - misogyny, completely deluded). I feel slightly queasy at thinking about the choice.

MissChananderlerbong · 01/12/2019 10:48

I'm voting for him, rather that than someone who's friends with terrorist organisations. Which as someone who's worked in the MOD makes me scared.
(I don't disagree with socialism but the realities of some of Corbyn's ideas and allegiances worry me)

berringer · 01/12/2019 10:51

Corbyn may miss many
open goals.

but he is not anti-Semitic .

www.jewishvoiceforlabour.org.uk/article/a-british-jew-not-afraid-of-corbyn-but-of-the-weaponisation-of-antisemitism/

Look back . We used to have libraries, there didn’t use to be food banks, politicians used to have to resign if they lied Once.

The polls are narrowing .

Please do the appropriate research and vote tactically to stop this man being prime minister and the conservatives continuing to rape this country.

You know those pictures of Corbyn with McGuinness? This was during peace talks. Was Mo Mowlam a terrorist sympathiser as well?

billysboy · 01/12/2019 10:54

Andrew Marr was terrible , thought Johnson came out ok and relatively unscathed

Think and wish what you like but he is still odds on to be the next PM

CendrillonSings · 01/12/2019 10:56

Considering that Corbyn is on the record as calling members of the terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah his “friends”, I think he would be a terrible danger to the UK’s security:

www.haaretz.com/world-news/europe/report-corbyn-was-at-conference-with-senior-hamas-officials-1.6390627

U.K. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn attended a conference with the orchestrator of a series of Hamas terror attacks that killed over 100 people.

Husan Badran was among several senior Hamas officials speaking at the 2012 conference where Corbyn hosted a panel discussion, which also included the former chief of Hamas' political wing, Khaled Meshal, and convicted terrorist, Dr. Abdul Aziz Umar, the report says. Videos from the conference shows Corbyn hosting a two-hour panel discussion.

Did you see the mural that he continued to defend as not anti-Semitic for weeks? It was essentially a pictorial representation of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Egregious. Not remotely ambiguous.

billysboy · 01/12/2019 10:57

Can you imagine Diane Abbot being on there !

Spinderellacutituponetime · 01/12/2019 10:58

Honestly the terrorist-sympathiser thing is so f*cking old hat.

ChristaMSieland · 01/12/2019 11:02

You think? People worry me when they see ideology over facts. Which includes you as well as him.

I'll have to vote Labour anyway. I always do. I hope a leadership change is imminent, though, because Corbyn is disgusting.

John1971 · 01/12/2019 11:03

Johnson came across like the buffoon he is - no wonder the polls are getting closer and closer.

YouTheCat · 01/12/2019 11:05

But Johnson honouring Astor who was a big fan of Hitler and very anti-Semitic is just fine?

Double standards.

berringer · 01/12/2019 11:07

Is this all you got?

Corbyn’s a racist terrorist sympathiser?

Yet no one gives a shit that the Conservatives have a former IRA member currently serving as a councillor!

Spinderellacutituponetime · 01/12/2019 11:10

No I don’t put ‘ideology over facts’ I just don’t get my facts from the Daily Mail.

pugparty · 01/12/2019 11:10

YANBU.

His views are so abhorrent, and yet he remains so likely to win that I can only assume in despair that the majority of the country are actually in agreement with his hate the poor, misogynistic and racist views.

I missed that one. Which Astor?

The mural debacle, for anyone who missed it;

Spinderellacutituponetime · 01/12/2019 11:12

And which government do we wonder is selling arms to Islamic states? Of course that isn’t talking to terrorists. It’s just getting money out of them so that’s perfectly acceptable.

Spinderellacutituponetime · 01/12/2019 11:15

You do know Johnson is a racist? You do don’t you? Just checking because I can list quite a lot of his racist/homophobic and misogynistic comments right here.

YouTheCat · 01/12/2019 11:17

Are you not reading the thread?

My first post on this thread was;

That's clear enough, I think.

Naturally, being a Labourite, I am more disappointed in our side than theirs (who I expect bad things from).

ChristaMSieland · 01/12/2019 11:23

Nancy Astor

Not surprised. He must be approaching a full deck of bigotries.

derxa · 01/12/2019 11:30

Jeremy Corbyn is unfit to be Prime Minister. I'm 60 and have a long memory. He has views distilled in youth which have never changed. I admire him for not voting for the Iraq War. That's it He's from a privileged background like many in high command in the Labour party who don't want ordinary people to enjoy the lifestyle they themselves do. I don't trust him to keep this country safe.

bluebell34567 · 01/12/2019 11:31

NHS business is still worrying me. there are many ways to sell it, bit by bit without putting it on the table, with many cover ups. i see some new organizations formed linked to health and maybe to NHS(not sure), maybe these will be first privatized and then bit by bit NHS.
