To think it’s impossible to vote for Boris Johnson after this morning’s interview?

How anyone watching this interview can conclude that Johnson has the seriousness, dignity, judgment or sensitivity to be Prime Minister is beyond me.

Blaming Labour's laws on early release for the London Bridge attack, when the Tories have been in power for 10 years, during which the UK has faced about 10 terror attacks and the Tories chose not to change the laws.

“It’s all Labour’s fault” says man whose party slashed police numbers, devastated the prison and probation service through cuts, and said there was no money for deradicalising terrorists.

Boris Johnson steam rollering Andrew Marr with endless election slogans shows exactly why he wanted this format and not Andrew Neill 🙄

really depressing stuff

They already chance it and we're part of NATO airspace policing

My worry is the links they have to BJ and others in the Tory Party, plus Trump.

I don't see Russia's threat as a military one.

I see it as one of cyber warfare and destabilising the country from within.

They are doing a pretty good job and not that No 10 have refused to release the Russia report serious questions need to be asked about why!

UtterlyPerfectCartoonGiraffe · 01/12/2019 12:25

And I’m sorry, the 5 eyes panic is a little confusing when one of the reasons given is JC’s links to Russia.

As if Dominic Cummings had no links to Russia.
As if Boris Johnson has no links to Russia www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/06/russian-meddling-what-has-boris-johnson-got-to-hide

No government or leader is ever going to be perfect, and I have no problem with people supporting Boris Johnson if that’s who they want to vote for. But the absolute hypocrisy of painting Corbyn as a possible harbinger of doom whilst turning a blind eye to what Boris Johnson actually does is incredibly frustrating to read.

And I’m not even a labour voter.

Sinittasdancers · 01/12/2019 12:28

The Conservatives made an electoral pact two years ago with a party who have had associations with terrorist groups in northern Ireland. Luckily for them most English don't seem to understand that there are paramilitaries on both sides of the Northern Irish conflict, so they've got away with it.

MissChananderlerbong · 01/12/2019 12:34

utterly but Boris DOES have access to the 5 eyes community. He's obviously been cleared because the UK is still in it including the time he was foreign secretary.

Australia are saying that Corbyn wont as they cant trust him.

ManonBlackbeak · 01/12/2019 12:35

I wouldn't have voted for him anyway. He's an embarassing fucking liability. Corbyn isn't perfect, but I'd still take him over Johnson any day of the week. This anti semtism argument is so boring as well, seems you are not allowed to be critical of Isreal but calling black people 'piccaninies' is alright not to mention the homophobia and misogyny.... words fail me.

UtterlyPerfectCartoonGiraffe · 01/12/2019 12:37

Oh and here’s some more debunked Corbyn panic.

Jeremy Corbyn and NATO: www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/factcheck-corbyn-did-call-for-nato-to-disband-but-its-labour-policy-to-stay-in

“Jeremy Corbyn’s stance on NATO before he became Labour leader is often paraphrased as “wanting to pull out of the alliance”, but we can’t find evidence of him using this form of words.”

“[he] generally talked about wishing NATO would restrict its role on world affairs...rather than actively calling for Britain to pull out.”

“Official Labour party policy is to maintain Britain’s commitment to the NATO alliance and to commit to spending 2% of GDP on defense.”

Bluntness100 · 01/12/2019 12:40

Is this all you got? Corbyn’s a racist terrorist sympathiser?

How much more do you need? Murderer? Paedo? What more does he have to be before you eventually say it's not ok.

MissChananderlerbong · 01/12/2019 12:41

It wouldn't be his choice whether we stayed in if he gets kicked out of NATO and 5 eyes though! All very well saying he wants to stay, but Austealia already want him out of 5 eyes.
Do you know how much we would lose? Look at all the agencies we have access to through our allies

As for russia not being a military threat, Google baltic air policing. They are increasingly posturing

UtterlyPerfectCartoonGiraffe · 01/12/2019 12:45

MissChanandlerBong As far as I can see, One ex-envoy to the UK said that, rather than it being policy.

However, I can completely understand why you’re concerned. We don’t want any leaders on any side making us less safe in any way. I wish there was more rational discussion rather than scaremongering and whipping up division. O all sides.

MissChananderlerbong · 01/12/2019 12:48

I think Corbyn is a principled man and I dont think he is racist/antisemitic. But I do worry about how other world leaders are perceiving him.
I also acknowledge that Johnson has serious failures!!
