Because if I read another 'doing his hobby' I will scream.

IT'S NOT OUTING. THE VAST MAJORITY OF MALE PARTNERS ON HERE CYCLE, GOLF OR PLAY RUGBY/FOOTBALL.

I'll start. I don't have a hobby as I'm a lone parent with a FT job but I spend any leisure time reading. BF plays golf and take part in several orchestras.

OP posts:

DH - rebuilding old cars, racing them, breaking them and rebuilding them again. He also games, geocaches and plane spotting.
Me- photography, gaming, geocaching and plane spotting
Some similar interests, and I combine photography and plane spotting.
What a catch we both sound!

Me: Gardening and latchook rugs

Dh: microlighting, writing, eating

andannabegins · 24/11/2019 17:39

My DP plays wheelchair rugby. This is very outing as he is in the Invictus games. As proud as I am I am sick to death of the training camps and having 2 wheelchairs in my dining room (rugby and basketball) when no one even needs a fucking wheelchair

@Thingsdogetbetter
This might be outing but I walk my 3 dogs near loads of pill boxes near Dean on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border. Been there?

Bcnamechanger · 24/11/2019 17:42

OP - my hobby is totally outing. There are 50 people in my city who do it. Combined with previous posts under my username I'm totally identifiable.

And no, it's not fucking cycling... That's DH hobby, it's just something I sometimes do, like golf.

It's also not big game hunting or tiddlywinks (only one of which I sometimes do).

((Exits stage right pursued by angry larpists))

And it's not cosplay, larp or DnD, none of which I ever do (thank fuck)

ALongHardWinter · 24/11/2019 17:47

I always imagine someone poring over a stamp album when I see this phrase in a post!

UrsulaPandress · 24/11/2019 17:47

@andannabegins. Do you not need to ‘need’ a wheelchair to take part in wheelchair sports?

Rhayader · 24/11/2019 17:50

DD(6) took up rock climbing and DH started so that he has something to do while she is in her lessons. He loves it now and goes once a week without her when she’s in bed (as well as with her).

AHorseCalledCroc · 24/11/2019 17:51

andannabegins · 24/11/2019 17:52

Both of us: churchcrawling. It's how we met and we still laugh at what boring twats we must seem to people if we revealed that a great day out for us together involves driving to some random remote church and taking a lot of photos.

You'd honestly never guess to look at us Grin

DH’s is very very specific and he sells them on eBay.

Another one has been mentioned here and all I’ll say is that it’s LARPers, not larpists. Grin

DH doesn't have any other hobbies, although he's just started to go to the gym!
