What IS your treat meal?

Mine is mashed potato (ready made from Tesco fridge), with loads of butter and cheese mashed into it.

Then you take a corned beef pasty, heat up in the microwave. Shred into chunks.

Stir this through the mash.

Top with ketchup? Which required marbling into the dish.

Oooh chip butty is a good call - a proper chip shop one with lots of salt and vinegar.

Or chips and curry sauce.

Out - PB & Double J burger from Fat Hippo in Newcastle. It's a burger with bacon and chilli jam. It sounds so wrong but oh my god, it is soooooo good.

At home - fish finger sandwich on white bread with butter and tomato sauce.

Massive old school Chinese - salt and chilli prawns, chicken chow mein, special fried rice, chips and curry sauce

Burger with peanut butter and bacon and chilli jam

Fish fingers and tinned spaghetti with white bread and butter.

Spaghetti (not tinned) with grated cheese and ketchup

Chip barm with butter on one side and beans.

Tinned salmon sandwiches with vinegar and salt and pepper.... always our Boxing Day evening meal when I was little. Everyone outside my family goes green when I mention it! I suspect it’s very working class northern (which is what we were!).

thai sweet chilly chrisps dipped in full fat cream cheese.

Heinz tomato soup with a fuckton of grated cheese and black pepper, served with buttered white bread.

Chicken super noodles on well buttered bread!

Home cooked chicken on sandwiches whilst still warm with cheese coleslaw

People saying restaurants and take away are incorrect - this thread is for weird and wonderful stuff made at home, surely? Eg ready salt crisp sandwich with lots of butter, or spaghetti with peanut butter 🤗

Intrigued by the suggestions of spaghetti and feta, as well as peanut butter and burger

Fruit crumble or sponge pudding and custard

I can’t eat any as am gluten free and the substitutes aren’t as nice

Home scuzzy tea is a tin of cream of chicken soup with curry powder with rice. Lush!

Jace I'm GF too but I love a baked camembert with GF sour dough toast, it's good for cheese on toast too.
