Just that.
Although he is being asked the wrong questions.

OP posts:
Creepster · 17/11/2019 01:59

You asked a loaded question knowing what the answers would be so that you could declare yourself to have been correct, and assert a right that no one disputes? Srsly?
Ah the subsequent posts are exactly what I anticipated and only go to confirm my suspicions about this site.
However, we are all permitted to have our own opinions.

Is this a joke?

ElizaStrawberry · 17/11/2019 02:06

Fergie?

Maybe he thought he could “do a Diana” and win people’s hearts and minds. The world has changed.
......
You may be right, I hadn't thought of that. Difference is, Diana was basically a good, kind person and she had a faithless husband - his brother. There isn't really much comparison.

I felt very sorry for Diana and though she made mistakes, she did the best she could in the circumstances; if what people think about Andrew is true, he certainly has behaved badly.

Let's wait and see what else comes out. This isn't going to go away in a hurry.

Sashkin · 17/11/2019 03:07

Is his comment about his inability to sweat plausible, or was that just a way to shoehorn in a reference to the Falklands

Anhidrosis is a real condition, but it’s not caused by being in the military and isn’t cured by “other events in your life”, whatever they may be.

And as other people have mentioned, there are plenty of sweaty pics of him in existence, so clearly falsifiable.

Topseyt · 17/11/2019 03:11

Of course you are unreasonable to support someone who has been close friends with a paedophile. Why would you even need to ask.

He is an utter shit. He should be disowned by the royal family for being so up his own arse. He won't be though.

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 03:23

I got a revulsion feeling watching this interview and it was not good to bring his daughter in as an alibi.

I wasn't watching a man with integrity. Childlike excuses. Entitled. Pompous. Self serving. No empathy.

Good god.

Bluerussian · 17/11/2019 03:27

He might be, Topseyt, unless there is some proof that he wasn't closely involved. I think even close families have their limits.

As I am currently not sleeping, I looked up details of Ghislane Maxwell - just the wiki entry about her is quite illuminating. She is certainly very different from her surviving siblings who seem to have been 'alright' since their father's death. She seems to be ruthless and amoral, her relationship with Epstein was very strange. I really had no idea how very clever, intellectual and well educated they all were, their late mother was too.

It was an eye opener.

JPharm · 17/11/2019 03:32

I suppose you are right in the sense that he is being asked the wrong questions....

He should be under much stricter scrutiny in a police station being interviewed under caution as he has quite credibly been accused of a serious crime.

I’m not sure it really needs saying that yes it is unreasonable to support a man who has used tax payers money to socialise with a convicted child sex offender.

cravingmilkshake · 17/11/2019 04:18

Let's defend and believe women please, not visibly lying scumbags.

JemimaTab · 17/11/2019 06:19

I think it's clear to all concerned that Andrew is not at all bright. However, because he has all his life been protected by the Royal Family and his powerful friends, he is not at all aware of his shortcomings and I suspect that he thinks that he is some kind of mastermind and this interview is a masterful Columbo-style rebuttal to the evidence against him. The trouble is that none of it convinces at all and TBH it stretches credulity to the limit. Viz: I can't remember the details of meetings with Epstein / Ghislaine but I remember a Pizza Express meal 18 years ago; I can't sweat because of some hitherto unmentioned Falklands trauma; I can't have had a drink in a nightclub because I don't drink alcohol and I don't know where the bar in the nightclub mentioned is located (as if this lummox would have gone to the bar himself to order his diet coke or whatever it is he drinks - he has minions for that). Personally I doubt that he did this interview of his own accord - he looked extremely shifty and uncomfortable, he obviously had no clue why anyone would find hanging about with Epstein remotely distasteful, he apparently seems to think that he was only being "honourable" (such a nice guy), and the body language was very much that of someone who is hiding something.
In summary, I think this interview was a massive own goal, if he thought that it would improve the situation for him and the wider Royal Family.

SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge · 17/11/2019 06:31

EPSTEIN DIDN'T KILL HIMSELF

and exactly what Jemima said - the interview was a car crash. We need to start winding down the monarchy.
How can he talk about honourable and my problem is I’ve been so decent and honourable. The young women who were abused are extraordinarily brave for coming forward.

flowerpowerr · 17/11/2019 06:37

It should be quite easy to prove whether Andrew/Beatrice were at Pizza Express in Woking on that night. Will the press be pursuing it though? Or will they let him off the hook because he’s royal? Hmm

A few new reviews for Pizza Express Woking, apparently:

‘Thoroughly enjoyed my American pizza on a balmy Spring evening in 2001. Only negative was that the air con was broken and after a while it started to become very hot and stuffy.

‘There only seemed to be one man there not breaking out into a sweat, which he claimed was because of an overdose of adrenaline.

‘Overall, I had a fantastic meal and would recommend. Why go anywhere else (i.e. Tramps in London) when you could go here and be treated like Royalty by the fantastic staff?’

Grin

Ghoulestofmums · 17/11/2019 07:33

Just to derail the thread I had a big crush on the actor who played him in The Windsors

JemimaTab · 17/11/2019 07:49

Even if he were in Pizza Express on the evening in question with his daughter (who would have been a young teenager at the time), this would not preclude him going out and tripping the light fantastic later on. So it’s hardly the slam dunk that this odious man thinks it is.

spanglydangly · 17/11/2019 07:51

If you wanted a healthy debate OP, you should've started one? You seem unable to give reason that you believe hiss innocence but it's probably because that's not possible.

Butchyrestingface · 17/11/2019 07:54

The BBC’s glance at today’s headlines in the printed press suggests the Daily Mail is going to rip dear Pwincey a new one.

Fancy being trollier and having fewer morals and integrity than the Daily Mail. Yet somehow @LadyLanka manages it. 😂

Tvstar · 17/11/2019 07:56

He receives no money from the public purse so I am baffled why he is being asked to justify his actions he hasn't been charged much less convicted of any crime. He is a private individual who can have whatever friends and staywherever he wishes. He didn't ask to be born royal.
The young woman in the picture looks the picture of health and happiness, relaxed and beaming.

BillywilliamV · 17/11/2019 08:01

Just bored really, logged onto BBC News hoping for some interesting stuff and just see his big ham face.
Of course he slept with that girl but she slept with him back. Girls have had their heads turned by titles for ever, doubt too much lasting harm was done; and to give him his due he probably doesn’t remember. Just one shag in a very long line, I should think !

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 08:07

'We need to start winding down the monarchy.'

My thoughts also.

When he said he he couldn't be seen with Epstein. Couldn't be SEEN. Not his conscious or sense of decency dictated not being friends with Epstein. Couldn't be seen. Wouldn't look good. There's the big character flaw. That told me everything I need to know about Andrew.

Sashkin · 17/11/2019 08:09

Of course he slept with that girl but she slept with him back

Do you know what trafficking is? She was flown over from the US by her pimp to have sex with him. It’s not like she had a lot of say in the matter.

Do you also think trafficked Eastern European women in brothels are just there because they really like having sex?
