Just that.
Although he is being asked the wrong questions.

I too noticed the clock. The interview is not as it appears to have been edited.

churchandstate · 18/11/2019 09:05

Doubleraspberry

No, what is it/are they?

Doubleraspberry · 18/11/2019 09:06

The FBI will take no action because so many prominent US citizens are involved. The plea bargain at the trial excluded a lot of evidence which was terribly convenient. It doesn’t take a conspiracy theorist to think that a large number of powerful people were quite relieved about that - just look at his phone book.

EntropyRising · 18/11/2019 09:06

I don't really understand the point you're trying to make, church. PA hasn't been convicted of any crime, so he remains not guilty in the eyes of the law.

That said, he submitted to this interview in an effort to rehabilitate his image, so we're free to speculate as we see fit. We're not jurists, we're his intended audience.

Just that I can’t treat the allegations against him as fact because I don’t know what really happened.

See article above. Yacht girls aren’t just in Cannes.

But no one has asked you to. We're all just talking about what a giant pervert PA is.

BlouseAndSkirt · 18/11/2019 09:10

LadyLanka you want debate start a debate in your OP. Lay out your thesis or your challenge. To say nothing about your own POV except to insult other posters is not a debate, it is passive aggressive and time wasting.

So; YABU.

You’re implying that the women he is pictured with might have been escorts? Yes, that’s true.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 18/11/2019 09:12

My view based on what we have heard was that he did sleep with VR but was arrogant enough to believe she consented.

However, he also knew JE was dodgy but didn’t care and didn’t regard the women exploited by JE as important or victims.

He and SF appear very focussed on money and luxury and seem willing tocosy up to people who can provide it without thinking too hard about the source of that wealth.

EntropyRising · 18/11/2019 09:14

I think you're onto something here. He probably thinks women find him attractive.

churchandstate · 18/11/2019 09:15

I think it’s likely that there was a very unhealthy web of powerful men around Epstein, taking advantage of the women presented to them, but with no mention - ever - of money changing hands. I think it’s likely that Epstein himself never gave a young woman money for sex, and the language was that of “little girlfriend” and “favours”. I think it’s likely that, when other men were staying with Epstein, there was a nudge-nudge wink-wink culture that, in their eyes at the time, insulated them from allegations that they were being serviced by prostitutes.

Is Prince Andrew truly so stupid that he didn’t realise this? I doubt it very much. But again, the proof of the opposite doesn’t appear to be there.

I think if he did sleep with her it’s not just because he was arrogant to think she consented but also because he’s too stupid to think otherwise.

I am at a loss as to how you believe I am defending him. I am just aware of the difference between what I know and what I theorise.

CiliatedEpithilium · 18/11/2019 09:20

Whenever I see his face I remember the photos of him beating his gundog with a stick. I can't separate the two images.

CiliatedEpithilium · 18/11/2019 09:22

Or was it Edward? They all look the same to me sorry Grin

BertrandRussell · 18/11/2019 09:22

He did have that strange “Windsor Week” when he was good looking in his early 20s. I know people who had him as a poster....

I am definitely not sock puppeting. Nor am I defending him.

church i don't understand why you think the exchange of money between these fellas is of any significance. It's just part of the overall Epstein service package, they're not chipping in for the petrol for his yacht either. They have a back-scratching arrangement.

LaurieMarlow · 18/11/2019 09:25

Haha, that is definitely ‘a thing’ Grin

Poor William.
