Just that.
Although he is being asked the wrong questions.

OP posts:

My Dad was in the Falklands and always said PA was a terrible little shitbag who thought he was a cut above everyone and that no one wanted to be anywhere near him.

Sashkin · 17/11/2019 14:20

She spent lots of time on his private Carribean island- was she supposed to swim in shark infested water

One fifteen year old victim did actually try escaping that way. But OP, I’m sure she just fancied a bit of exercise.

Roussette · 17/11/2019 14:22

"Public displays of affection are not something I do.... "
Says PA.

And he's managing to sweat in these pics. Despite being shot at in Afghanistan. As if.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/11/2019 14:25

of course he couldn’t telephone Epstein because Epstein would naturally be recording the call, and who knows what might have been said?

That's actually an excellent point, but I still think the visit to NY was mainly to negotiate the money for Fergie (and who knows what else for Andrew?) The timing of it in relation to the loan is just too darned convenient

It's also surprising that nobody's made more of the photo of Andrew opening Epstein's door. In a millionaire's house which resembled "a railway station with people coming and going", why exactly would Andrew be the one to do that?

At the end of the day we'll never know whether Andrew's unbecoming a sex offender or not - the fact the law's prevented from finding out is largely the point here - but we certainly know he chose to stay in contact with an already-imprisoned paedophile, plus the likes of Ghislaine

And that's more than enough for me

Roussette · 17/11/2019 14:27

Yes, and I've seen the whole footage (with him at the door). Epstein comes out with a girl. She runs back in, then runs back out to Epstein. She looks about 14, honestly she does.

And there's Andrew grinning and waving. The woman he's seeing out is not the young girl.

Spudlet · 17/11/2019 14:31

But Oprah is not Emily Maitlis.

And Sarah wasn’t accused of sleeping with groomed young girls, or defending her connections to a convicted paedophile (although maybe, given what we now know, she should have been doing the latter).

Not the sharpest, either of them... based on this debacle anyway.

Puzzledandpissedoff

The loan to Fergie confuses the heck out of me. Andrew is a millionaire. Why would he need to persuade someone to lend her money rather than doing so himself? Weirdest bit of this?

FizzyGreenWater · 17/11/2019 14:32

Maybe we could put him on a new island. He LIKES islands.

Spec: long way from anywhere, hot is not that ok because he CANNOT SWEAT, historic anthrax pollution good.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 17/11/2019 14:33

Excellent post Doritosdip

Also worth pointing out that she attended parties where loads of A-listers were present, seemingly well respected people. One of the events was Naomi Campbells birthday party.

To be around such exalted people and no one questions who you are or why you are there or does anything to help you...these 'good' people..surely it adds to the feeling of being trapped.

ForalltheSaints · 17/11/2019 14:38

A way for the Duke of York to start to reclaim some dignity would be to renounce his place in the line of succession, so he technically is not a Royal anymore.

Fergie was his ex wife
All of his money comes through the crown estate.
His mother holds the purse strings.
His parents loathe Fergie.

But would he have diplomatic immunity from prosecution then? Would be rather embarrassing for Liz if France put out a European arrest warrant for him...

BertrandRussell · 17/11/2019 14:49

“ His parents loathe Fergie.”

Even if they do, they’re not going to want the mother of two of their grandchildren going publicly bust, surely? And presumably Andrew has access to some money? And 15K really is “some money” for him.

diddl · 17/11/2019 14:49

Has this already been mentioned?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/11/2019 14:57

Roussette I've definitely not seen the footage you mentioned ... any chance of a link?

churchandstate Never mind the loan for a sec - the whole thing around such an egotist keeping Fergie onside confuses the heck out of me. At a push I can just about see him doing it for the girls' sake when they were small, but that doesn't wash now

Maybe he can't afford to upset her and risk her going to the press too?

churchandstate · 17/11/2019 14:58

It might well be something along those lines.

FlyingPenguine · 17/11/2019 15:02

He is vile. I'm so glad he did the interview, hopefully itll help get rid of the monarchy.

doritosdip · 17/11/2019 15:04

Naomi Campbell has publicly said that she feels "sickened" that Epstein was at her party. She used words like "predator" and "indefensible" which is the normal reaction to the truth.
Astounding that Fergie and Andrew didn't feel half as outraged that he was at his daughter's 18th.

I wonder if people are sceptical of Virginia because there's no pics of her scantily clad in heels, heavy make up etc? What women wear or don't wear isn't an indicator of them being abused or pimped out.

ThatsMeInTheSpotlight · 17/11/2019 15:05

According to The Times, it was Andrew's personal assistant who encouraged him to do the interview. His PR didn't want him to do it and they left a few weeks ago presumably because Andrew and the personal assistant wouldn't listen to him . The Times is also reporting that the personal assistant wanted a strong female interviewer not a puff piece.

It was an unmitigated disaster. And I still don't understand why the Queen agreed to it . . . unless Andrew eventually ignored her or there's something worse to come out?

VQ1970 · 17/11/2019 15:06

I thought the whole interview was appalling, on both sides. Andy lied through his teeth but I don't think the interviewer did a very good job either. She clearly had a list of questions that she was going to ask and wasn't (couldn't?) deviate from that list. She wasn't listening to his answers and repeated questions even though he had answered them and couldn't answer them any differently. She also didn't probe further on things he said, even when he contradicted himself.

From the beginning, he maintained that he Epstein weren't proper friends, he just knew him via Ghislane. So why did he feel the need to meet Epstein face to face to tell him that they couldn't be friends anymore when they weren't actually that close in the first place?

He also stated that after that conversation in the park, he left the next day and didn't speak to him again. But then the interviewer starts asking about the dinner at Epstein's which he was guest of honour at and was 4 days later. How could that have happened if he'd left the day after the talk in the park?

There are many other things as well that PP have picked up on. The whole thing stinks and he has not come out that interview very well.

BloggersBlog · 17/11/2019 15:09

"Roaring around like Toad of Toad Hall" that image is so funny, and true I can imagine!
Amazing how he managed to shoehorn his stint in the Falklands into the interview to remind us all what a war hero he is not

recrudesence · 17/11/2019 15:16

I’d like to see the Venn diagram of people who think PA was telling the truth and people who think Michael Jackson never touched a child.
