Just that.
Although he is being asked the wrong questions.

"It was a convenient place to stay"

In NY? Where some of the best hotels in the world are and one of your own daughters lived at the time.

Riiiiiiight.

@Butchyrestingface I thought so too 😂

Stooshie8 · 17/11/2019 08:50

I haven't followed this - is the point to prosecute him for something in the US?
Or does the victim want compensation?

Or just to show him up for what he is? or what?

ScreamingLadySutch · 17/11/2019 08:52

A friend of mine was extremely pretty as a young man.

Although straight, he was constantly hit on and followed by gay men which was quite a stress for him. I saw him being intimately goosed when he bent over a stall at Camden Market, so he was not making it up!

Anyhow, he was assistant to something involving Prince Andrew. He came back and said 'that man is gay. He was looking at me and whinnying like a horse'.

So PA is a moron, has zero self awareness, is naive and positively dangerous to British interests - but I believe him that he did not. Because other reports have hinted to the same proclivity and I know my friend was absolutely telling the truth. Why? Because he hated and rather feared the attention he got, so wouldn't bring it up unless it happened. (ie I believe him)

KaptainKaveman · 17/11/2019 08:53

I do feel sorry for the Queen. I'm not a great monarchist, I'm ambivalent, but I quite like the Queen. I pity her for having to tolerate a giant bastard of a son like Andrew though. What a source of shame and humiliation he is.

EleanorReally · 17/11/2019 08:55

Prince Charles and Prince William must be furious, or perhaps relieved

gamerwidow · 17/11/2019 08:55

The victim blaming on this thread is horrifying.
Do you think the Rotherham girls were kept locked up and looked like trafficked slaves? Is it only bad to sleep with underage girls groomed for sex if they are physically fighting you off screaming 'No' at the time.

HotCrossPun1 · 17/11/2019 08:56

I’m sure she’ll never say, but I wonder what conclusion Emily Maitlis privately came to after the interview.

Tvstar · 17/11/2019 08:58

If he had done something illegal, why hasn't he been prosecuted?

ScreamingLadySutch · 17/11/2019 08:58

PS THE OTHER person I believe?

Geoffrey Boycott. Again, a dinosaur, a misogynist, backwards, zero self awareness. But I don't think he hit her.

Borderline Personality traits. I think she got emotionally overwhelmed at what a stonewalling twat he is and banged her own head against the wall.

here was just something about the obduracy of his denials and his ideals of how men behave (still twattish and entitled, but never raise your hand to a woman sort of thing).

LaurieMarlow · 17/11/2019 08:59

I pity her for having to tolerate a giant bastard of a son like Andrew though. What a source of shame and humiliation he is.

Don’t feel sorry for her. She’s indulged him for years and is a big part of why he’s turned out such an entitled man child.

LaurieMarlow · 17/11/2019 09:00

screaming it’s possible for ppl to be attracted to both sexes you know.

gamerwidow · 17/11/2019 09:00

I haven't followed this - is the point to prosecute him for something in the US?

The point is he is accused of being complicit in the sexual abuse of under age girls and should be subject to police investigation and punishment if found guilty.

SmileEachDay · 17/11/2019 09:01

She didn't get as cash able as she is now overnight ... it's who she's always been

Yeah. People are exactly the same at 17 as they are at 35.
Do you think the same about all the young women who have come forward in the Metoo campaign?
What about all the capable 40 year olds who were raped in their teens? Lying, are they?

Jesus. This bullshit makes me so angry.

gamerwidow · 17/11/2019 09:02

If he had done something illegal, why hasn't he been prosecuted?

Because he is a man of great influence and privilege protected by his royal status (so far).

dayswithaY · 17/11/2019 09:02

Some people need to educate themselves about grooming and sex trafficking. Not everyone gets hit over the head and dragged away screaming by their abuser, but it doesn't mean it's not abuse. If it wasn't so horrifying then this interview would have been the funniest Alan Partridge tribute, ever.

I think we can all understand now why Meghan and Harry are giving Christmas with the Royals a swerve.

TheMidasTouch · 17/11/2019 09:02

*@Bluerussian
"You may be right, I hadn't thought of that. Difference is, Diana was basically a good, kind person and she had a faithless husband - his brother.'
Faithless? I think Charles is a Christian. He attends Christian churches and will one day be head of the Anglican Church.

Did you mean unfaithful? Grin

SirHumphreyDrinkalot · 17/11/2019 09:04

Is there a sock puppet on this thread? Asking for a friend.

Montsti · 17/11/2019 09:06

YABU - I’m a big supporter of the Royal Family, but the Duke of York is a disgrace to them...

He has shown himself to be arrogant, entitled and delusional and clearly not very bright at all. Who knows whether he is guilty of a crime or not but he is a despicable human being to support (not to denounce) a convicted paedophile...

Stooshie8 · 17/11/2019 09:06

Was she underage at 17?

Hedgehogparty · 17/11/2019 09:07

I feel it’s time to debate becoming a republic.
This man with no qualifications other than birth and connections, has been working as a trade envoy, traveling the world on taxpayer money.

What use is he? Arrogant and not too bright, in the interview, he showed his true character, and it was repellent.

SirHumphreyDrinkalot · 17/11/2019 09:07

Maybe the Wills/Harry rift is about PA. Wills has to support the second son of the Monarch and Harry😜, currently, has the freedom to say He’s a scumbag and he should FOTTFSOF.

ScreamingLadySutch · 17/11/2019 09:08

The other thing I thought of,

is that Jeffrey Epstein was clearly a deeply manipulative psychopathic person. (By definition, you have to be a psychopath to traffic and rape other people and not care about their suffering). We all know that psychopaths use other people for their own ends.

So the DoY, being a zero self aware, self important trumped up moron, wouldn't have the level of awareness that he was completely played and that his 'friendship' was Of Use. And being lazy self important and stupid, he accepted the advantages of the properties and services of a billionaire without thinking through what the quid pro quo was. I suppose he thought the Magnificence of his Royal Self was enough

And that is hard for a self important puffed up person to admit (that he was Used just as much as he Used). That interview was a train smash.

ScreamingLadySutch · 17/11/2019 09:09

@LaurieMarlow, good point

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 09:13

an entitled man child.

The interview showed him up for being just that. Jaw dropping entitled man child.

NameChangeNugget · 17/11/2019 09:15

I totally believe him
