To be outraged that some people are so quick to judge?!

Okay I know that there are some really strong opinions posted here and of course everyone has a right to their opinions...
But why post something that is so judgemental? Ultimately there are 7,000 responses and no one can be bothered to read through anyway. Seems pointless to me.
I would never judge the way someone chooses to raise their children because people (and children) are all different.
I in no way support abuse, and don't smack myself, but I have a friend who does...and I can ever so slightly see why. But I would never say anything because she has a right to do things her own way as a parent.

Well it is MN isn't it, full of people who live in such perfect worlds that they have no fucking clue what it is like to live in the real world. Imo, of course.

iuseantiageingstuff · 18/08/2007 21:22

i wonder if the people with really strong opinions have the most to be ashamed of with regard to child rearing

Dabbles · 18/08/2007 21:23

nutcracker - in the real world, smackign a child is wrong...

sugarmatches · 18/08/2007 21:24

I was thinking that but didn't say...didn't want to seem judgemental

"I hav entohign to be ashamed of regardign my child rearing skills."

Well, that's your opinion. Others may disagree of course. As you disagree with them.

So my kids will be fucked up because I occasionally smack them ????????? Prove it

I was smacked and am not fuckedx up, neither are my brothers or loads of other people that I know.

sugarmatches · 18/08/2007 21:31

Children sometimes end of fucked up despite our best intentions. I was reading an article about Pete Doherty and he had a great upbringing, he even studied English at Oxford.
Maybe she gave him fruits shoots and the effects were delayed!!

everything gives u cancer you are more likely to get run over whilst checking the ingredients on your childs drink whilst crossing the road and believe me thats more likely to happen .
