I am going through a lot of problems but listening to Pink Floyd is like putting balm on soul.

Tell me I am not AIBU or maybe I am? Also, which singer/band helps you when you feel low.

howrudeforme · 09/11/2019 20:42

Fraggling · 09/11/2019 20:44

Branleuse · 09/11/2019 20:46

YANBU. Seeing Roger Waters at hyde park last year was so incredible I cried

MuchBetterNow · 09/11/2019 20:48

I'm 54. Went to see them in 1981. They are my life's soundtrack, got ds ((18) into them big time. Tat on my arm says "all you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be"

YABU to even ask 🤣 Xx

CuriousaboutSamphire · 09/11/2019 20:49

Nope! Am 'doing the double' as I type. And every Floyd fan knows which 2 albums I am referring to.

It is a sleep routine I started in my teens, an album on each side of a cassette tape. Then a discman, now an iPod.

Bliss!

Whiskeywithwater · 09/11/2019 20:50

Absolutely YANBU! I looove them. Saw them in mid-80’s, & still probs best band have ever seen. Love film of The Wall too.
Also love Cream

Giggorata · 09/11/2019 20:51

Definitely not unreasonable.

DefConOne · 09/11/2019 20:58

YANBU. Mutual love of Pink Floyd is what me and DH together. He had an army jacket with an album cover hand painted on it (was student cool in ‘92). Saw saw them at Earls Court and DH’s hero Roger Waters at Glastonbury. DH surprised me with a weekend in London to see the V&A Pink Floyd exhibition.

Meddle is still my go to when I am super stressed.

Paraballa · 09/11/2019 21:00

YABU they're shit.

beelzeboob · 09/11/2019 21:00

I’ve relatively recently got into them.
My favourite track at the moment is “mother”. I can’t stop listening to it.

CuteOrangeElephant · 09/11/2019 21:02

YANBU. I only recently got into Pink Floyd.

Shine on you crazy diamond is magic.

MondeoFan · 09/11/2019 21:10

Another Brick in the Wall is one of my favourite songs.
Pink Floyd are underrated by people that don't understand them

fairybeagle · 09/11/2019 21:12

YADNBU! Best band ever! 'Time' being one of my favourites

Walnutwhipster · 09/11/2019 21:12

I've seen Roger Waters twice. My greatest regret is not seeing Floyd perform. 'Wish you were here' evokes some lovely memories of my youth.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 09/11/2019 21:13

YADNBU

DonttouchthatLarry · 09/11/2019 21:14

YANBU at all! I love them and wish I'd seen them live.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 09/11/2019 21:18

Us & Them,
Wish you were here......classics.

YANBU

I'm a lucky lady, got to meet Gilmour 20 yes ago, by chance. Photo takes pride of place in my home.
The Pink Floyd exhibition was wonderful, my daughter and I travelled miles to see it.
Also saw Mr Gilmour at the Royal A Hall few yes back.
I cried ALOT!!

RandomWordsandaNumber5 · 09/11/2019 21:29

I love ‘Wish you were here’ - watching the Ed Sheeran collaboration at the Olympics just reminded me of how much I loved Pink Floyd back in the day.

slashlover · 09/11/2019 21:29

Why would you BU for liking a group?

pinkpolo · 09/11/2019 21:33

isabellerossignol · 09/11/2019 21:34

Love Pink Floyd. Comfortably Numb is my favourite of theirs.

Gillian1980 · 09/11/2019 21:35

Yanbu.
I’m 39 and love Pink Floyd, I was brought up hearing them at home.
My DPs took me to see them once as a kid and once as an adult - amazing shows.
