I am going through a lot of problems but listening to Pink Floyd is like putting balm on soul.

Tell me I am not AIBU or maybe I am? Also, which singer/band helps you when you feel low.

Off the back of this thread I've stuck my Pulse DVD in.
Very best version of comfortably numb there is!

Great gig in the Sky is my favourite song of all time. Pink Floyd are genius. Struggle a bit to listen to them now my dad has died as brings back bittersweet memories of childhood but just love them.

Still love Floyd. And Zep. Knocks spots off today’s music.

Because of this thread I had a gorgeous wind down to the day yesterday, lying in bed with DS2 listening to Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here and The Great Gig in the Sky. DS2 also thinks they are absolute geniuses.

Aaaaw yes supertramp - ‘take the long way home’ is such a lovely, uplifting song 🥰

Some of their songs are just phenomenal! Really awesome stuff ❤️

Pink Floyd are amazing. Grew up listening to them and just wish I was old enough to see them in concert. Been to so many tribute bands for them though.

Of course YANBU! When you love music it’s timeless.

I’m only just in my thirties and adore PF, go to see the good quality tributes as often as I can with my teenage nephew. Then again I also spend a lot of time listening to composers like Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich/Liszt etc. as well as albums released this year and the past couple of decades. I’m always surprised when I meet someone who has a cut off point for which decade the music they enjoy begins (though you could argue that’s me too given I’m no fan of baroque haha).

Wish You Were Here will forever and ever be my favourite PF record. Absolutely flawless throughout every single second.
