Just that really and, inspired by another thread, why do so many people dislike him?

OP posts:
bellinisurge · 01/11/2019 18:49

No. Corbyn neither

ThaQuilomum · 01/11/2019 18:50

You need to get your post edited or do a new one. Your original post is not clear enough as to which way to vote if you don't trust him. I voted YABU asking why do so many dislike him but now you seem to be doing a u turn.

NoFun21 · 01/11/2019 18:51

Not one bit.

ThaQuilomum · 01/11/2019 18:51

That is on reading your new way to vote on page one. Haven't read full thread. I don't trust him an inch.

AwdBovril · 01/11/2019 18:54

I wouldn't trust him even if he was being dragged naked behind his bloody NHS bus, covered in tar & feathers, begging for forgiveness.

Katinski · 01/11/2019 18:54

Heck no!

DeviousBrie · 01/11/2019 18:55

No. Same way I cannot trust JC or Farage. 😡

pigsDOfly · 01/11/2019 18:55

No I don't trust him.

He's an arrogant proven liar. I can't imagine why anyone would think him idea PM material.

How he became our PM is beyond me.

TheMonaOgg · 01/11/2019 18:57

No. Not at all. Never. No way.

I am baffled by the people that do trust him despite all the evidence that he is a slippery lying wretch. I am filled with despair currently as I still think he'll get voted in.

PrettyShiningPeople · 01/11/2019 18:57

Your title asks whether we trust him, but your post is about whether we like him, and they’re completely different things.

I think he’s very likeable in the sense that he’s a very entertaining and engaging speaker but I don’t trust him anymore than any other politician.

Bring back Nick Clegg, I would trust him with my life GrinGrin

OhMyDarling · 01/11/2019 18:57

No way.
He’s an abomination.
I can’t believe how anyone can be sucked into any of the lies any of the tories spout.
This government is an embarrassment.

AwdBovril · 01/11/2019 18:59

That said, I no longer trust Corbyn. Or the Greens. Or the Lib Dems. They're all liars, traitors, & sellouts. I haven't a bloody clue who to vote for in December. I might have to hold my nose & vote Labour, just because Brexit is a once-only issue, (GE-wise), but the other issues with the Labour party will no doubt keep simmering on.

Kyvia · 01/11/2019 19:00

Nope don’t trust him a millimetre on anything apart from he will ‘get Brexit done’ if he gets a majority. I think the question many less-rabid leave minded people are wrestling with is whether Boris is a price worth paying. The problem is there’s a distinct lack of alternatives. Almost everyone will be choosing their least shit option in this election, and on factors other than the party leaders.

Mamimawr · 01/11/2019 19:01

No, he's a liar and a cheat who has no idea how real people live.

Thehouseintheforest · 01/11/2019 19:04

The thing that makes his lies worse than the others is that he KNEW he was lying all the way through the leadership contest.. all the I'LL GET BREXIT DONE'. 'WE WILL BE OUT BY 31 OCT '

I can only blame the people in the Conservative party who do not have the WIT to count to 635... anyone with the most basic grasp of maths and the politics (which BORIS most definitely has !) Could have told you his rhetoric was bollox ...

He KNEW it.. yet LIED to get the job.
Unforgivable.

ThatUserNamesTakenTryAnother · 01/11/2019 19:07

You'd trust bj more than corbyn! OMFG this right here is why we're fucked

EC22 · 01/11/2019 19:09

He disgusts me.
He has no integrity.

longwayoff · 01/11/2019 19:10

Are You Serious? GrinGrinGrin

Lunaballoon · 01/11/2019 19:10

He’s a throughly self serving liar.

pigsDOfly · 01/11/2019 19:10

Your title asks whether we trust him, but your post is about whether we like him, and they're completely different things.

Well I for one neither trust him nor like him.

I don't think they are so different. I find it very difficult to like people I don't trust.

He's a liar and a cheat and as far as I'm concerned completely lacking in charm and totally unlikable.

noblegiraffe · 01/11/2019 19:10

I don’t think he was lying about getting Brexit done on 31st October when he was elected. I think he thought he could just lazily let us fall out without a deal, requiring nothing to actually get through parliament and then claim victory.

He thought he could prorogue parliament (another lie there, this time to the Queen) to stop any debate around it, but hadn’t relied on this galvanising a parliament who had failed to be united on anything previously.

Then, faced with the Benn Act, he tried desperately to find a way around it so he could still crash out, then realised with horror that he might actually have to try to get a deal instead if he were to claim his victory.

That’s why his deal is a shit bodge job, wheeling out something that was rejected ages ago and pretending it’s new. He was scrabbling down the back of the sofa cushions at the last minute because he’d spent fuck-all time thinking about a deal up till then.

Piglet89 · 01/11/2019 19:14

Wow 23 % of responders trust him. Jesus wept.

OddBoots · 01/11/2019 19:16

Even his siblings do their best to distance themselves.

I do worry that his extreme politics have pushed anyone not a long way to the right out of the Conservative party so now it is a very different party to that which it was before. They seem to be hoping that people are so religious in their voting that they won't question their choice and/or to capture the BNP/UKIP/Brexit Party voters.

Moonmelodies · 01/11/2019 19:18

If course not, he's a politician.

catitude · 01/11/2019 19:19

The thing with him is he is happy to lie because he doesn't care if he is caught out lying. Other politicians will tie themselves in knots rather than say something that could be disproved down the line. Johnson does not care, so will say whatever he wants, repeatedly to get his point across. Which unfortunately means he sounds decisive to the voting public rather than the liar that he has shown himself to be.
