Just that really and, inspired by another thread, why do so many people dislike him?

OP posts:
Knackerelli · 01/11/2019 16:45

Well, he’s not dead in a ditch for a start.

GoodJobSteve · 01/11/2019 16:47

All politicians are liars but I'd trust BJ more than Corbyn.

I don't get this opinion. Corbyn's major fault is his dogmatic inflexibility, not his mendacity. If anything, you can absolutely trust Corbyn to do what he says, it's just that you might not want him to do it. Grin

BeerandBiscuits · 01/11/2019 16:51

I don't get this opinion.
Don't worry, it seems to happen a lot on mumsnet.
Not everyone finds it easy to see another's point of view.

Paintedmaypole · 01/11/2019 16:52

To those saying all politicians lie, do you think he lies more than most?

OP posts:
Sotiredbutcannotsleep · 01/11/2019 16:52

Nope

FiveTwoFaster · 01/11/2019 16:54

I wouldn’t trust him to stay faithful if I were his wife or girlfriend but I do trust that his ego is so massive that he will do his best to try and ram Brexit through come hell or high water. But that is not because he is trustworthy. I don’t think any politicians now are that. The ones who seemed to be, have been ineffectual or bigoted.

ilovesooty · 01/11/2019 16:56

What @LaurieMarlow said. In terms of lying he's in a league of his own and as far as I'm concerned anyone prepared to vote for him is either terminally stupid or as morally corrupt as he is.

NearlyGranny · 01/11/2019 16:56

No.

Swer987 · 01/11/2019 16:59

LOL. No. Absolutely not. He makes me feel sick.

ThebishopofBanterbury · 01/11/2019 17:00

Hell no!!

TheNumberfaker · 01/11/2019 17:00

Yabu because Johnson has proved himself time and again to be a liar and a charlatan both personally and professionally.
• He was sacked from the Times for lying
• sacked from shadow cabinet for lying about having an affair
• he was recorded in conversation with a friend talking about having a journalist beaten up
• his comments led to the sentence of poor Nazanin Radcliffe Zahari being extended
• his involvement with the Vote Leave campaign (£350 million)
• promised not to create a border in the Irish Sea
• various disgusting comments about picanninies, letter boxes and bumboys
• stated he’d rather die in a ditch than ask for an extension

It is self-evident that he is completely untrustworthy...

MarshaBradyo · 01/11/2019 17:00

Of course not he’s proved he’s happy to lie

ThebishopofBanterbury · 01/11/2019 17:01

Yes he does lie more than most. The man is a moral vacuum

Spidey66 · 01/11/2019 17:01

I trust him as far as I can through him. He lies, lies, lies, and there's no honesty or transparency about him. He can't or won't even tell us how many children he's got, probably because it will prove he's lied to and cheated on his past partners. (Why the hell would you want to shag BJ though...he's awful. Thought turns my stomach.)

And he's far too friendly with Trump for my liking. If he gets in again in December, you can bet your bottom dollar he'll be involved in some dodgy trade deals with Donald Duck/Trump, possibly involving selling off large swathes of the NHS.

Can't bear the ''man.''

MrsMaiselsMuff · 01/11/2019 17:02

I do trust that his ego is so massive that he will do his best to try and ram Brexit through come hell or high water.

Thats what many of us are scared of. I could accept a Brexit that had some but minimal effect on our livelihoods, will of the people and all that guff, but he doesn't give a shit how much a disordered damaging exit would hurt people.

AreWeAnywhereNear · 01/11/2019 17:03

I don't actually trust any MP - I have no idea who I'm going to vote for 🤯

Shamanka · 01/11/2019 17:04

No.

Paintedmaypole · 01/11/2019 17:04

I am asking because I am seeing people on here saying they will vote for him . I am NOT a fan. I am also wondering if people could give reasons for liking/disliking him as they have done regarding Corbyn.

OP posts:
Groovee · 01/11/2019 17:04

Nope. He is a bumbling fool and after watching celebrity hunted his father is one too. My nursery class could do a better job!

cardibach · 01/11/2019 17:06

@TabbyMumz nobody is perfect, no. But I don’t think it’s naive to expect politicians to at least aim for honesty. I don’t lie in my job, despite being an imperfect human being.
And again, do you think Boris is worse than others or not?
@BeerandBiscuits why do you trust a proven liar more than Corbyn? What is your reasoning. You say people struggle to see another’s point of view, so explain. Try to help rather than posting an unexplained statement.

4cats2kids · 01/11/2019 17:06

I think he is a lying cunt.

chemenger · 01/11/2019 17:07

I do believe that he lies more than other politicians and that he doesn’t care who knows he is a liar. He struggles to recognise right from wrong, which is something we expect small children to get to grips with. Even his immediate family seem to despise him, which cannot be a good sign. I wouldn’t trust him as far as my cat could throw him (and I don’t actually have a cat).

By the way anyone who has voted the wrong way by accident can just click on the other box to change your vote.

MarshaBradyo · 01/11/2019 17:09

He’s the Trump school of media spin. Just bluster and bull doze and say whatever. Cummings inspired - the message is what matters.

So yes I think more than other politicians.

cardibach · 01/11/2019 17:09

@Paintedmaypole I haven’t seen any reasons for disliking Corbyn which aren’t parroting of the Mail/Sun to be honest.

MarshaBradyo · 01/11/2019 17:10

I don’t think the that this saying whatever will stop people voting for him though.
