I feel so fed up with buying bras!! I'm a 36E but sort of a teardrop shaped boob. Have bought from Anne summers, M&S before. Other places that I can't remember. Currently have no nice bras that don't dig into me. I'm quite curvy, perhaps I need a bigger back size I don't know!
Please help mumsnetters. Where is a good place to get properly, accurately sized and get decent comfortable pretty bras from?

Bravissimo
I was measured and have bought some lovely bras which are extremely comfortable. I had been wearing the wrong size for a few years.

TickledOnion · 22/10/2019 23:28

Bravissimo. Most people need to go back sizes and up cup sizes. Especially if measured by M&S. I’d put money on you being nearer a 32FF. Please try bravissimo and let us know how you get on.

TickledOnion · 22/10/2019 23:28

That should say down back sizes and up cup sizes.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 22/10/2019 23:28

Brastop

FFSnotanotherone · 22/10/2019 23:29

Bravissimo

DramaAlpaca · 22/10/2019 23:30

Bravissimo usually. Now I know my correct size & the best style for me I can buy anywhere - I have a couple from M&S and from Tesco of all places that fit me really well.

HighNetGirth · 22/10/2019 23:32

Yes to Bravissimo but if you are feeling flush Rigby & Peller is even better.

cactusthief · 22/10/2019 23:34

40F here and I wear ASDA T-shirt bras which are £4/£4.50 Grin

Candle1000 · 22/10/2019 23:35

Rigby and Peller , I went in wearing a 34b and came out a 30 ee ( and sooo much more comfortable)

StillMedusa · 22/10/2019 23:35

I'd put a massive bet that if you went to Bravissimo you'd come out a completely different size...and your boobs would thank you for it. Most people are in wayy bigger a back size than they actually need and too small a cup.
Get yourself to a Bravissimo and prepare to be amazed how much better you can look and feel in the right size!

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 22/10/2019 23:36

John Lewis are great and you can book a fitting appointment on line.

Averyyounggrandmaofsix · 22/10/2019 23:38

Bravissimo on line, have been to Rugby and Pellar and not too expensive.

EmmiJay · 22/10/2019 23:40

Same @cactusthief! Thank the lord I lost my blub because I would be bankrupt bank rolling these boobs. £4 - £9 for a nicely fitting bra. I disliked so many bras with the extra frills, extra thick straps, and the 'grandma coning' shape. Bleh.

PurpleWithRed · 22/10/2019 23:40

Another bravissimo fan here. They have a very distinctive way of sizing: I now wear a 30FF instead of the 34B I was slopping around in and couldn’t be happier. Worth the trip to a shop for a fitting.

ilovenaps · 22/10/2019 23:40

Like cactusthief I'm also a 40F and get my bras from Asda. I get the non padded ones and they fit perfectly, really affordable too

Lucifer666 · 22/10/2019 23:47

@Mirrors123 I feel your pain I'm a 40F and curvy but big in the back and front. Try going Debenhams for a bra fitting they do it properly and everytime I go in there they've been very helpful in finding me a comfortable bra that fits properly, doesn't dig in, looks good and not frumpy and whilst they can be a bit pricey its well worth the money I can tell you. Hope this helps you 😊

HitthefloorforTaintedLove · 22/10/2019 23:57

I went to Bravissimo who did the whole smaller back size spiel and bought 3 size 28G bras that I couldn't wear as they dug into my skin so much even on the loosest hook and cut the skin between my boobs.
So back to my Debenhams Gorgeous range 32FF or G, very comfortable and often in the sale.

Brandnewshit · 23/10/2019 00:24

Join the Facebook group boob or bust, honestly if you follow the measuring guide you will be shocked at your actual size.
Then brastop for good value beautiful bras.
I was wearing 36f and actually am a 34h.
Wearing a good fitting bra is life changing

Thetiss · 23/10/2019 00:25

My favourite bra is from brastop

Juann00 · 23/10/2019 00:40

M&S the only place for bras 😀

catswhiskers15 · 23/10/2019 00:46

Rigby &Peller.

0lga · 23/10/2019 00:47

Bra stop
Bravissimo

Gillian1980 · 23/10/2019 00:52

Definitely check out Boob or Bust to get your BoB starting size. Avoid M&S! Bravissimo, and some independent shops would be best for fitting. I find Debenhams poor for fitting but good for range of sizes and styles.

Writersblock2 · 23/10/2019 01:15

Molke! Best thing I did for my boobs.

ladybirdsarelovely33 · 23/10/2019 01:19

John Lewis since I was a student and more recently Bravissimo
