To think is going to be how I die?

We have twin boys who are 3, both autistic and non verbal.

They love songs and one has recently started signing for more so I want to try and encourage them. They also don’t have much interest in people especially other children.

After doing some reading I decided to buy a living puppet / signing puppet and it’s just arrived...

This thing is going to come to life and kill with its empty floppy hands, isn’t it?

Under the next full moon. Your puppet will slowly awaken and pull itself upright. Those hands are are strong enough to pull puppet along the floor, past the children’s bedroom. As the moonlight filters into the hallway, puppet carefully opens your bedroom door enough to sneak in. You stir briefly and for a second puppet thinks you are going to wake up. As you turn over, puppet slowly and carefully decides how to get onto the bed. The moonlight filters into the bedroom, puppet’s face is contorted with anger and hate. Those hands are scarred and fingers are long with sharp pointed nails. Slowly, he climbs up the bed-frame and onto the bed....

We're all going to have nightmares tonight. You don't have a rocking chair in an attic room as well do you OP?

rainingallday · 18/10/2019 15:15

You lot posting these batshit puppet pics are evil!

EVIL! Angry

.Grin

Bluerussian · 18/10/2019 15:17

It's (he's) gorgeous!

Jinxed2 · 18/10/2019 15:19

The elf on the shelf more likely to be murderous I reckon.... shudder

DC3dilemma · 18/10/2019 15:25

I opened this and thought what an over-reaction, it;s not that scary...this is one of those mumsnet things everyone gets all dramatic about and I just don’t get it...

Then I clicked to enlarge the image and saw the hands...the HANDS...shudder. They have actually made my blood run cold...

SinkGirl · 18/10/2019 15:30

Yep, it’s definitely the hands (which will strangle me in my sleep)

Sorry but yeah it is

TheKarateKitty · 18/10/2019 15:42

For the love of God! People saying to burn it, NO!!! That will only release the evil and OP will become the next vessel.

You must call the priest. He must say a series of prayers over it while you all walk backward in circles around them both. Then wrap it in holy vestment and drown it at the bottom of a well of holy water.
And speak of it never again.

I think it's a Trump-lookalike, gobby and gormless 😱

Almost, but not orange enough. He should be Tangoed to be the exact image.

Also, all of the puppets are in it together, led by Elf on a Shelf.

RightYesButNo · 18/10/2019 15:55

You are DEFINITELY going to wake up to puppet sitting on the end of your bed tonight... When you left it on the sofa.

Definitely call a priest. A vicar is just too friendly for this. You need holy water and judgment, not a cake recipe for the village fete.

WorryBadger · 18/10/2019 16:07

Off topic, but I had a haunted ActiFry once. It would beep, even when switched off.

Even when switched off at the wall.

Even when....UNPLUGGED

SinkGirl · 18/10/2019 16:10

Well the boys met Boris. No fear, but they did look at me like I was completely insane, which demonstrates excellent judgement.

Reminds me of the undead Fingerling...

quirkychick · 18/10/2019 16:48

That should read signing evil jester twin puppet

CatkinToadflax · 18/10/2019 17:36

Oooh do you think he's one of those monsters in disguise - the sort where you chop its head off and then 3 more heads instantly grow?

This thread reminds me of when the DSs were really young and fast asleep in bed and DH was away overnight. I was drifting off to sleep and suddenly realised I could hear piano playing downstairs. Bloody hell it was creepy. The logical part of me maintained that burglars don't usually break in with the express intention of showing off their Mozart skills...so I bravely crept downstairs thinking WTactualF....to find our stone deaf cat sitting calmly and contentedly on the 'automatic play' button on our keyboard. Bastard animal.

Mucky1 · 18/10/2019 17:54

My daughter fell in love with this yesterday at her great aunts house. She was gifted it! Creepy old doll yes please 😩😩😩

This made me snort laughing tho 😂

Minorityreports · 18/10/2019 18:59

Mucky - does its eyes open?

Oysterbabe · 18/10/2019 19:43

does its eyes open?

I bet they snap open as you flick the light switch off.

Fairyliz · 18/10/2019 20:14

OMG you’ve introduced your children to it!!!
You do know it will take over their young healthy bodies and make them do its evil bidding?

Xiaoxiong · 18/10/2019 20:56

Omg Mucky - my cousin properly scared the shit out of me when I was about 8 telling a story late at night under the bed clothes about a china doll called Vanessa that a little girl bought from a charity shop - which would then come to life and kill children by stabbing them in the back with her pointed nails and the blood would drip down into a V (for vanessa). I couldn't sleep for weeks.

And now you appear to be Vanessa's new family...

Minorityreports · 18/10/2019 21:01

I'm more worried about the preying mantis @mucky1 has

CSIblonde · 18/10/2019 22:19

The Muppet face & hair is cute/fine, it's the weirdly overlarge hands that are just ....freaky. Creepy as...!

Ginqueen20 · 18/10/2019 22:26

Those hands are horrific I look forward to the true story based puppet horror film this Halloween Grin
