AIBU?? Strange photo saved on boyfriends Messenger photo gallery

Right I know I'm probly just being stupid but then I'm like "or am i" before anyone says yes I can be stupid and immature so I'll just insult myself before anyone else does. So one day me and my boyfriend were looking through his "messenger gallery" and on his phone any photos that are sent to him on Facebook are saved to this folder. We were scrolling through and there was a LOT of photos I have sent him and then there was a photo of the back of this girls hair.. she was sittin on end of a bed, a room I dont recognise, and her hair was really straight and she had like a copper colour dip dye.. but anyway when we seen the picture I said who the fucks that.. and he goes is that not you?? (Because it was a picture from a while ago) and he said he seen it a few days ago and thought it was me, he said its probly saved automatically from a group chat or something stupid. But one thing I will say is sometimes he straightened my hair and took a pic of it to show me but that was saved on the camera roll and not the messenger folder like this one was. Can someone tell me if I'm bein Unreasonable to over think it but not go to harsh

I think you are letting your imagination run wild. If there is even the hint of something untoward/unwanted attention, it's unlikely a woman would send a man a pictured of her hair in a flirtatious manner, most men don't give a fig about hair.

Tbh I dont know wtf I think about it. Hahah. Basically worried incase he was bein a snakey mcsnakerson and was with another girl but then why would it be saved to his messenger folder .. like the only photos that go in there is ones that are sent. Strangely enough right beside the photo I sent him a picture of grey hair and I remember saying I'd love to get my hair done like that.. but this other photo I seen is just a normal girl ,

I don't think it's worth stressing about a photo of the back of someone's head, it could have been from a group chat, or something he's accidentally saved. Its not like he has a nude saved on his phone. The fact he lets you scroll on his photos would say to me that he has nothing to hide. Don't put yourself down, your not stupid, your just overthinking!

Yeah and possibly the fact he also said "is that not you I seen that the other day and thought it was you" surely if it was anything snakey and he seen it a few days before I seen it it would of been deleted!

It sounds about as un-dodgy as they come. Hell, I sometimes wonder who/what photos are on my OWN photo reel! You sent him hair photos, could it be one you sent saying you liked the colour? Or could it be you? Or it could be random photos from a messenger conversation - lots of my friends use photos and GIFs instead of emojis, so I end up with loads of random photos on my reel for no apparent reason - in short, it doesn't sound like he's done a thing wrong, but it did sound like you might need to work on your self esteem a bit

Thanks PP! In fact I really didnt like the hair! So unless I sent him it saying something like eugh hate hair like this colour definitly not getting that. But what baffled me is that it's like a normal photo it doesnt look like a photo off google or anything, and its literally like someone standing at the other side of the bed then the girl sitting a good bit away with her back pure straight and look like shes only after gettin her hair done or dyed or somethin, wearing like what looks like a football or rugby top and she knew the photo was bein taken cause she was like sittin poker straight for it, does it still sound not dodgy??

My gallery is full of photos not taken by me... Probably came from a WhatsApp message or similar.

It doesn’t sound dodgy, no. Why would a woman send him a pic of her hair ? (Unless he is her hairdresser, obvs...). Maybe sent by mistake ?

He may have copied a random photo to give him an idea of a photo with you.

Or I’m talking rubbish but I find it strange that he straightens your hair to take pictures of it.

I think OP mentioned the fact that her boyfriend has in the past straightened HER hair because she suspects he's straightened someone else's hair.

The strangest thing is that he straightens your hair and takes photos of it... Why does he do that? Does he have some sort of "thing" for straightened hair?

If that's something he does to get turned on, I suppose there's a chance he either searched out and saved a photo of another woman's hair or that he's straightening and photographing someone else's hair, but it would be surprising!

I have lots of photos like that appear in my gallery, as do my brothers, because my sister sends them to our family group chat every time she's looking for hair dye ideas, could it be something innocent like that?

Facebook messenger often saves pictures without consent. I have often found messages from other people. Honestly, this could be a mistake.
