To ask for your pictures of washing machines?

I have a three year old autistic DS who is in love with washing machines. He loves looking at photographs of them, and often my friends will send me pictures of theirs so that he can get a good fix. He particularly likes talking about the brands and the number of kg the washing machine can hold

I'm starting a new job with longer hours today, so it will be a hard transition for him. Some washing machine pictures would cheer him up I'm sure! Google is fine for images but this would make it a little more personal.

So: would it BU of me to ask for pictures of your washing machines?

Here’s a picture of mine in UAE. It transpires from another thread that I’m almost the only person here who dries clothes outside (as they get sun bleached and a bit sandy).

8kg Samsung with a little door in the door so you can pop in all the socks you've dropped on the way to the machine, after you've set it going!

This is ours, from Germany - 19 years old and still going good. My husband works in the technical field of washing machines, and knows ours inside out!

My son has autism too (he’s 8) and went through a phase of being obsessed with washing machine. It is however one of the few obsessions he’s actually outgrown! But here’s ours..

My boys are autistic and when they were little, one of them was almost bereaved when we replaced our washing machine.

I'm on my laptop so will get a pic of ours in a bit. I'm grateful that it has a child lock because DS2 randomly turns it off. He also likes to tell me, at length the brand names of all the items in our kitchen.

Here's ours, complete with some washing and some of the random stuff that lives on top of it! If it is of interest, we have it mounted above the tumble drier to get the angle of the drainage pipe steep enough to work and our friend drilled a hole in the side of our house to facilitate it!

Not my photo as I don’t have one so have googled similar, but nearby where I live there is an outdoor launderette with 3 big washing machines. It’s right next to a pub so people can put their washing in, go in the pub for some food/drink and come back to collect it!

Here’s ours. It has a 7kg capacity for washing, but only 5kg for drying. An interesting thing about it is that the outlet pipe (where the dirty water goes) isn’t plumbed in, because it’s in an awkward spot. So when we want to use it we put the outlet pipe in the loo (and if we forget dirty water goes all over the floor!).
