Just that really. Apparently they don't want my custom.

OP posts:
Artesia · 11/10/2019 23:18

Pure is really good- works well in baking too

UterusUterusGhali · 11/10/2019 23:22

There are loads of vegan marges. Even 20 years ago I could find some.

Constantlurker · 11/10/2019 23:22

@Kyvia GrinGrin spectacular

Pantouflette · 11/10/2019 23:26

Nobody wants to eat trans fats any more.

mumwon · 11/10/2019 23:29

Tomor is actually Kosher I came across it years ago for dd (dairy free vegan)

Constantlurker · 11/10/2019 23:34

@Pantourflette for the win!!!!

Lysianthus · 11/10/2019 23:47

Flora is vegan. . .www.flora.com/gb/products/flora-original/
I am very confused with OP post. Seriously. More to life etc.....

PancakeAndKeith · 11/10/2019 23:53

Flora have dropped their association with MN because MN is full of bigoted transphobic women, so they say.
Therefore some MN posters are stopping buying Flora.

L0bstersLass · 12/10/2019 00:09

@Pantouflette - loving your work!

Gingerkittykat · 12/10/2019 00:22

For all of the people saying Flora is vegan, the OP already knows that and wants alternatives.

GlitterToast · 12/10/2019 00:30

A few people have suggested that it's easy enough to make yourself. I'll try find the recipe. Smile

kimikoglenn · 12/10/2019 06:34

Naturli is incredible and you can buy it in blocks for baking or tubs for spreading.

Its the closest thing to butter I've found.

Everythingnotsavedwillbelost · 12/10/2019 06:40

Naturali vegan butter- it will change your life! They sell it in Sainsbury’s where I live in a spreadable and a block that is like a block of butter- it’s made with nuts but looks and tastes like butter. It’s a revelation & has made my newly vegan life happier Grin

Everythingnotsavedwillbelost · 12/10/2019 06:40

@kimikoglenn x post Grin

HugsAreMyDrugs · 12/10/2019 06:42

I have only ever tried Vitalite and Tesco own brand.

Go for Vitalite

lljkk · 12/10/2019 06:43

I want the lowest sodium content margarine. Which one is that?

user1480880826 · 12/10/2019 06:45

Eh? Why do you want a vegan version of flora when there are lots of alternatives?

Next you’ll be annoyed that Bernard Matthews aren’t offering a vegan alternative to turkey (someone is probably going to come along and tell me they sell vegan turkey now).

These companies don’t exist to keep you happy.

Mitebiteatnite · 12/10/2019 06:48

I'd say Vitalite is far superior to Pure. Pure is tasteless and bland, Vitalite is actually quite nice.

Flora is a load of shit anyway, it's always been my least favourite 'spread' apart from 'I Can't Believe it's not another stupid company blindly being led by the woke brigade on Twitter into a debate they clearly know little about Butter' which is the shittest of them all.

DarrellMakepeace · 12/10/2019 07:01

RTFT people. Sigh.

Fucksandflowers · 12/10/2019 07:43

Ugh, I can't understand anyone eating margarine.

It's absolutely loaded with chemicals and teams fats and just awful for you.

Everythingnotsavedwillbelost · 12/10/2019 07:46

Photo attached- honestly, try this- it’s not full of crap like marg and it tastes like butter- pic attached!!

GoFiguire · 12/10/2019 07:50

OP, sorry, but for the non regulars on MN you should have put “I’M BOYCOTTING FLORA” as your title otherwise they’ll all come on here and go “you alright hun? Hmm

dontgobaconmyheart · 12/10/2019 07:59

Had to google to find out what this was even about. There are literally loads of alternatives OP Confused - where are you shopping that there aren't? Vitalite is the best anyway IMO.

Flora are hardly wrong are they anyway, some of the sentiments and wording and generalisations used on here from some users re: the trans community or the legitimacy of how a person choosed to identify are just disturbing sometimes. I'm not surprised they've given it a swerve from a business perspective.

guinnessguzzler · 12/10/2019 08:00

We use Pure. Good price, good taste and now available in lots of supermarkets.

SaskiaRembrandt · 12/10/2019 08:08

Which might be laudible if they didn't have a history of homophobia and sexism, and they weren't complicit in the destruction of the environment. Anyone who cares about orangutans, or having clean air to breath should be giving Flora a swerve

(And yes, I know they claim to use sustainable sources, but they are only marginally better)
