To ask class teacher who went in my childs bag?

Something has been taken from my childs bag. It is not valuable and I won't get it back because it's a single use item for personal use.
I don't mind it being used by others but it's unsettling for things to be taken and not be informed by staff or my childs friends if one of them decided they wanted to take it. It feels like something being stolen from their bag since someone went in there without permission and took what they wanted when the bag was in the classroom with everyone elses bags.
AIBU to ask staff who went in my childs bag?
And then to ask the person apologise for taking it from my childs bag without mentioning it since it is stealing?

If a child went to a teacher to ask for something I very much doubt the answer would be there are some in X's bag go and get one.

LucyAutumn · 09/10/2019 16:09

Sorry OP, more info relating to the lost item needed, not more backstory

Hahaha88 · 09/10/2019 16:09

I'm beside myself with some of these comments. Especially condom and polyjuice potion.
Op you are beyond nuts.

Also has anyone thought maybe it just fell out of the bag??

PaperAeroplanes · 09/10/2019 16:10

I don't know how it works in secondary schools nowadays but in our primary, book-bags are kept in drawers outside the classroom or in the cloakroom outside for older children. So potentially anyone could have access to it. We've had a few items come home that weren't ours (and returned).

So why would the teacher know unless you alerted her? And will she care? Depends what it is. Toys should not be in school. Sanpro, yes sure and maybe in primary office could have a stash. Medical things in our school are kept with the office for safety reasons.

The other bullying is different and unrelated but maybe because of this you are overthinking. Just have a word at the end of the day.

Sort if single use in the fact that she can't just put them straight back in the school bag. She'd have to wash them and give them back to dc

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 09/10/2019 16:10

I HAVE IT!!

Verruca plaster.

What do I win? (Apologies if someone has already said it and I've missed it)

steff13 · 09/10/2019 16:12

If she's 8, it's unlikely to be a tampon/pad or a diaper/pullup. So I have no idea. A bandage? If it's something like medication, you should definitely alert someone, a child shouldn't be taking medication that isn't for them.

OtraCosaMariposa · 09/10/2019 16:13

Haemorrhoid cream. Has to be.

Mum918 · 09/10/2019 16:13

This post is so vague the only thing I’ve got is that you’re not thinking about the turtles with all your single use items. Shame on you.

Baguetteaboutit · 09/10/2019 16:14

Is it an edible water ball?

theoriginalmadambee · 09/10/2019 16:14

OP, i know you are not finding this helpful, but it is really hard to advise without knowing.

TriDreigiau · 09/10/2019 16:16

Tissue?

Though I don't mointor sanpro or tissue consumption.

Medical stuff school at primary schools IME usually seem to want to keep hold off - then often put in unaccessible places - at least that's what they seem to do with blue inhalers- which are multi use anyway.

Hoghgyni · 09/10/2019 16:17

OP why do you think the teacher would have any idea who went in the bag anyway? If it was theft, the 8 year old classmate would have been deliberately trying to conceal their actions.

theemmadilemma · 09/10/2019 16:17

Fuck me how outing can it be to say?

Context is everything.

iklboo · 09/10/2019 16:18

Single use item?

Catherine wheel
Sherbet DibDab
Trident missile

FloatOn · 09/10/2019 16:18

Jesus that's ten minutes of my life I'll not get back. What is the single use item? Contact lenses?

mabelisthebest · 09/10/2019 16:18

Is it a poo bag? Maybe DD is anxious around toilets and prefers to use the floor?

Zoflorabore · 09/10/2019 16:19

I have never ever heard anyone use the phrase about the legs meeting! Nice to meet you left leg said right leg.

Op sounds a bit delicate Smile

FurnitureAndBackgammon · 09/10/2019 16:19

Was it a letter for Boswell?

walkintheparc · 09/10/2019 16:20

Is it a chocolate bar or something?

Carrie7899 · 09/10/2019 16:21

Maybe Crimewatch could do a reconstruction

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 09/10/2019 16:22

The keys to a Victorian safe?

TwoPupsandaHamster · 09/10/2019 16:22

OP Just say what the item is and how old your DD is - for context. It isn't difficult 🙄

Generallybewildered · 09/10/2019 16:23

Calpol tablets?
Just because my dd took some from her friend’s bag last week for a headache. I assume friend knew.

K - is that you?
