www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/4778321/a-monster-supercat-is-on-the-loose-after-terrorising-two-young-children-in-their-london-garden/

Large cat acting normally (by the sounds of it) around some kids. Mother freaks out and chucks a toy horse at said cat who bites it while mother drags said children into the house. Horse is 'destroyed' yet looks untouched in the sad face photos.

It's bonkers, isn't it?

I know the cat is larger and different to the average moggy but it's hardly a lion on the rampage...

Grin there's no way that cat was taller than her children! Ridiculous non story but it's made me smile at leastGrin

NearlyGranny · 01/10/2019 14:31

It's The Sun, innit?!

CAG12 · 01/10/2019 14:33

Tbh could have been a Maine Coon Cat. Those guys are massive. But theyre still a type of domestic cat.

This is scaremongering at its finest

Winterfellismyhome · 01/10/2019 14:35

"The beast" Grin

CAG12 · 01/10/2019 14:35

Ok ive just looked at the actual pictures of this 'supercat'.

Thats just a cat.

This story is hilarious.

Hereward1332 · 01/10/2019 14:41

It's a savannah cat en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savannah_cat. Not a lion, but not exactly a domestic cat either. Totally unnecessary as a pet - particularly in London.

I like cats, but I can see how one of these might be scary if it appeared in your garden.

KUGA · 01/10/2019 14:48

Utter smelly brown stuff.

Wolfiefan · 01/10/2019 14:50

I’m just glad it wasn’t my tortie terror. Blush

Jimmers · 01/10/2019 14:51

🤣🤣 So the cat was “bigger than” her kids, though pictorial evidence shows the kids are bigger than the horse toy which was in turn bigger than the cat. Yeah ok love. Enjoy your 15 minutes... Grin

notyetsleepingthrough · 01/10/2019 14:52

I want that cat

Gloopy · 01/10/2019 14:52

Can someone post a link please..

Simkin · 01/10/2019 15:03

The kids talking in the background are cute though

Inthemuckheap · 01/10/2019 15:03

Celebrity cosmetic doctor specialising in anti-ageing and works in Harley Street. She slammed her "mega-rich" neighbours for buying an expensive cat. Utterly bonkers.

FurnitureAndBackgammon · 01/10/2019 15:07

Oh dear, I'd better get Tiddles in.........

FizzyGreenWater · 01/10/2019 15:08

Hang on, her daughter is called Falcon - what is the point of going all superhero when naming your child if it can't even come off best in a fight with a giant cat??

'My child is called Willow but she is really quite portly, I regret my name choice'
'My child is called Grace but has the stance of a baby elephant, I regret my name choice'
'My child is called Falcon but was easily bested by a Savannah cat in our garden this afternoon, I regret my name choice'

etc

Soubriquet · 01/10/2019 15:08

I will say that savannah cats can be nasty.

They are a larger breed have still have the natural hunting instinct like most cats

But all the same, a bit over dramatic

Soubriquet · 01/10/2019 15:10

And they are no where as big as a cheetah...so thigh high and taller than the children is bullshit Grin

bookwormsforever · 01/10/2019 15:11

@CAG12 - don't be daft! Have you seen pics of Maine Coones?? They look nothing like this cat! This looks like a Savannah cat. lt's beatiful. And the woman in the article is bonkers.

Sad face photo because her toy pony was slightly nipped?? 'The cat was taller than my children' - what shite. The cat is clearly much smaller than the pony, which is much smaller than the dc.

It looks bigger than a domestic cat - longer legs - but does not look at all aggressive...

Minai · 01/10/2019 15:12

I saw that this morning and thought wtf. Am I missing something? It’s just a big domestic cat 😂

Caledoniahasmyheartforever · 01/10/2019 15:12

😂🤣😂 I have to laugh- it’s nowhere near taller than her children! What a beautiful cat 🥰😍though! Can you imagine the headlines if it was actually a German shepherd or an Alaskan Malamute - must be a slow day - it should read pretty kitten plays with rocking horse 😂 after children are too terrified to play with it. Saying that, if their Mother reacts to a playful cat with such hysteria, I’m not surprised the children didn’t know how to play with it!

BarbaraofSeville · 01/10/2019 15:13

So she makes her money by providing cosmetic treatments to rich people and then insults them in a 'big cat terrorised my children' by saying that 'Rich people seem to think they are invincible and they can just get away with anything'.

If this was an attempt to up her profile again, that might not have been the best move. If I was in the market to have shit injected into my face, I'm not sure I'd ask a woman who thought I was a twat to do it to me.

Quality sad face picture in the sun though.

diddl · 01/10/2019 15:15

Well it's hardly a cheetah, but neither is it your average pet cat!

MojitoMojitoo · 01/10/2019 15:16

Hahahahaha what nonsense.

Grown Savannah cats are big but this one is clearlyyyyyy still a baby!

MojitoMojitoo · 01/10/2019 15:17

I have a Maine Coon and can 100% confirm this is not lol

StewDad · 01/10/2019 15:19

Standard Sad face pics. Along with the 'My 3 month old found a nail in her kebab' pics that seem to frequent the local web-rag near where I live.
