Would you give your 8 ans 10 year old 4 month old baby food?

OP posts:
MereDintofPandiculation · 01/10/2019 10:11

Why would you want to?

my2bundles · 01/10/2019 10:14

If there was a medical reasons then yes. Otherwise no.

BarbaraofSeville · 01/10/2019 10:14

Is the food for 4 month old babies or is the food 4 months old?

Yes, why would you want to? Obvs they're too old for baby food and too young for a weird Jennifer Anniston style baby food diet.

AlphaJura · 01/10/2019 10:16

Is it because they're fussy eaters or something?

Katinski · 01/10/2019 10:20

In Italy, I used to buy Gerber baby foods in jars. The banana and pineapple one was my absolute favouriteGrin

Willow2017 · 01/10/2019 10:26

Why would you?
Context is needed.

formerbabe · 01/10/2019 10:29

Really confused.

Wildorchidz · 01/10/2019 10:32

So your ex’s gf is giving them baby jars? What does your ex say? Presumably the children laugh at her??

PurpleDaisies · 01/10/2019 10:33

I’m confused.

1985mummymia · 01/10/2019 10:46

Thank you! I'm really angry about it. My ex's girlfriend gives it to them when my girls are at his. My eldest has told her she isn't earing baby food and her reply was its good for you and she gives her 8 year old son them in his lunch box! What the hell. My ex just talks to me like I'm s##t

OP posts:
Coffeeandchocolate9 · 01/10/2019 10:49

Still not enough information. Is baby food the only thing she gives them to eat, or is it in the packed lunch as a snack alongside sandwiches etc? Is it in date?

1985mummymia · 01/10/2019 10:56

No she gives them other food too but when they say they are hungry she gives them baby food. They didnt realise till they saw the same punches here that I give my baby boy. My eldest argued with her but she tells them to eat it and not sure about her sons lunch box hopefully she gives him other stuff too. I'm so angry with them this is just 1 thing about them that gets to me

OP posts:
MyDcAreMarvel · 01/10/2019 11:00

You mean like fruit pouches as a snack? If they like them there is no issue.

LifeSpectator · 01/10/2019 11:01

my 19 year old dd , often buys pouches of babyfood as a snack , brings them to college etc as she loves stewed fruit and recons the baby ones are probably healthier with less additives,

1985mummymia · 01/10/2019 11:07

Not ok if my daughters dont want them and she argues with them about it

OP posts:
InfiniteSheldon · 01/10/2019 11:07

Stewwd fruit pouchs are a healthy snack

RedskyLastNight · 01/10/2019 11:08

Depends what it is ... mixed pureed fruit is not a lot different to a smoothie. A portion aimed at a 4 month old baby will be about 2 mouthfuls for an 8 and 10 year old though, so presumably this can't be remotely the only thing they are eating?

PatriciaHolm · 01/10/2019 11:09

Fruit pouches are fine, my teens still pick them sometimes. And if they didn't realise, then they clearly aren't labelled "baby food".

I really wouldn't pick a fight over this. It sounds as if you don't like her anyway.

PurpleDaisies · 01/10/2019 11:10

Not ok if my daughters dont want them and she argues with them about it

Lots of adults make decisions about children’s food that the children aren’t keen on.

InfiniteSheldon · 01/10/2019 11:12

Not her fault if they dont like her snacks

Greysparkles · 01/10/2019 11:12

Is baby food not food??

I think you're overreacting. Its a fruit pouch.

BlockedandDeleted · 01/10/2019 11:17

So they are just a snack/supplement not a meal replacement?

And your children were happy with them until they saw the label?

As they are baby food they are presumably nutritious and not 'junk' -as you feed them to your own baby?

All day every day adults are arguing with children about food

Feels like you're using this as a conduit to vent your feelings about your ex.

Countrylifeornot · 01/10/2019 11:21

Well what exactly are they being given OP?

Trewser · 01/10/2019 11:24

If you mean smooth pureed fruit, you buy those in France next to the yogurts and they are delicious!

Passthecherrycoke · 01/10/2019 11:26

That’s so weird. What 10 year old would want to eat baby food? How embarrassing. Especially for lunch, his friends will rip the piss.

Doesn’t your ex care? I’d send the girls with packed lunches full of snacks if they’re going to be gits about it
