Boris Johnson should resign

Cinammoncake · 24/09/2019 11:18

He's lied to the Queen and shut down parliament illegally. He's not fit to be PM and should resign now.

Yes he should Resign. Now! And so should all his cabinet who supposedly supported him.

Goodbye in particular to JRM, DR, SJ, MG and PP and good riddance. They are on the wrong side of history. Fools!

Time for common sense, moderacy and decency to resume.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 24/09/2019 12:20

Im sick of Boris and his lies but equally who the hell replaces him?
No GE pls- its a one issue vote and I for one am sick of it.

Tellmetruth4 · 24/09/2019 12:22

I thought Dominic Cummings was supposed to be some type of genius unless his actual plan is to destroy the Tory party?

SleepyKat · 24/09/2019 12:23

Problem is that he's thick skinned enough to just blunder on.

So can parliament remove him/vote of no confidence - will they?

KittyVonCatsington · 24/09/2019 12:23

I agree. Just please please please don't give us Michael Gove instead!

Figgygal · 24/09/2019 12:24

Totally agree but equally concerned he will get away with it due to the crazy times we are in

Lagatha · 24/09/2019 12:25

Personally I would like the Queen's champion to ride into Downing Street and throw down the gauntlet (ie. Challenge him to single combat)for besmirching her honour.
Unfortunately that's not going to happen.
He'll probably just boringly resign.

Tellmetruth4 · 24/09/2019 12:26

To be fair to Gove, he did try and stop Johnson from being PM when Cameron resigned as he knew it would be a clusterfuck.

longwayoff · 24/09/2019 12:34

No, not resign. He should be dragged from his parliamentary podium by uniformed yeoman of the guard and, accompanied by Dominic Cummings, harried through the streets whist being pelted with stale baguettes and ripe camembert until they reach the Tower of London where they should be flung into a dungeon until they both make a public apology. Although that would be too good for them.

NameChangeNugget · 24/09/2019 12:36

Don’t worry, Jeremy Corbyn will sort out the mess

thecatneuterer · 24/09/2019 12:38

It's the second thing he should resign over this week, and it's not even Tuesday lunchtime yet.

Brilliant Grin

lord help us all

LakieLady · 24/09/2019 12:44

The court has said parliament is not prorogued, so I'd expect it to be open again by tomorrow.

Parliament will resume at 11.30 tomorrow. No PMQs, as PM may not be there, but emergency debates can take place under Standing Order 24.

I wonder if a no-confidence motion can be moved under SO 24?

Ringdonna · 24/09/2019 12:53

I think he has been very clever. He got five weeks to carry on with the Brexit stuff behind the scenes without any Parliamentary interference.

TrixieFranklin · 24/09/2019 12:55

Christ alive what is the answer now to sensibly resolve the fact that we are being led by an actual mega-twat shagaholic lying man child and facing crashing out of the EU in a few crazy weeks!? I can't sensibly work out what the best option is to move forward.

No no, you mistook 'genius' for 'c**t' there. An unelected snake of a man held in contempt of parliament calling the shots at a time of extreme national crisis - you couldn't make this shit up.

Cinammoncake · 24/09/2019 12:58

Not clever imo but anyway, he didn't achieve anything in that time. A lot of it seems to have been spent touring round hospitals etc and electioneering

If we manage to get rid of Boris, some of my faith will be restored. Maybe we won’t be a satellite of Trump.

Of course what is going to or could happen now is an unknown at the moment.

Limensoda · 24/09/2019 12:59

If he doesn't resign, he will be forced out. There will be a general election very soon. Brexit won't happen on the 31st October.

Unreal really isn't it. I think a government of national unity needs to be put in place to take over, postpone Brexit and sort out the mess with a referendum then GE

And yet his popularity ratings in the polls are higher than the other parties.

Here we go

Boris Johnson should resign

At some point they'll notice the Emperor has no clothes.

bluegirlgreen · 24/09/2019 13:06

Quite a few people trying to convince themselves Brexit won't happen on 31st October this year.

It will.
