To hate sweetcorn with a roast!

Lovely roast pork, perfect roast potatoes, lovely roasted carrots and nice savory cabbage. Why would you ruin that with sweetcorn?

Sweetcorn goes in salad, with tuna mayo, corn on the cob with lovely bbq chicken. It doesn't go on a roast to taint the other food.

Dp has ruined my roast dinner dramatic

YABVU. Sweet corn is a magic food in that there is literally no meal that is not better by the addition of sweet corn.

Don’t eat it then
I like it, and peas as my son only likes them, I usually have more veg on my plate than anything else
Just ask him not to put it on your plate in future but if you actually eat it otherwise it’s not that big an issue

Totally agree OP. Sweet corn is rank with a roast. Even worse when it is mixed with lovely garden peas.

I like loads of veg with a roast. Swede would have been the perfect yellow addition. Roasted courgettes and peppers. Leeks would also have been another great addition. Sweetcorn does not belong on a roast and it was plated up for me on top of the carrots and cabbage so the carrots tasted like the sweetcorn even though I didn't eat it!

YABU. Just don't serve yourself any or don't eat it if you don't like it, I assume your DP does? I love variety myself, not the same vegetables every time.

Who the fuck puts beans on a roast, beans are for jacket potatoes or beige dinners for hangover days.

I’d not cook it at home with a roast, but would it eat if it was served to me and enjoy it. YABU
