Oh my. This is not good for Trump. This is a WaPo article, but in summary, he tells Moscow officials he is unconcerned about Russian meddling in US elections. The White House then took care to bury this conversation.

• Instead of prosecuting (or punishing) Russia for this, he told them it was “fine.”

Just to clarify what is going on here, the White House appears to be engaged in massive, systemic abuse of the classification system and underlying presidential authorities in order to cover up egregious wrongdoing including impeachable conduct.

This is a historic scandal.

More NRA - this time, funding Trump’s impeachment in return for Trump protecting gun laws.

LaPierre said yeah, but only if Trump promised not to pursue any gun legislation.

Trump fired the FBI director overseeing the investigation of Russian election interference & then the very next day told Russia it was all good. That his presidency continued for more than two years after that is a profound failure of our system.

There’s really no sugarcoating it: The United States government is compromised at the highest levels.

Sorry for all my posts today. But it seems to be a - momentous day of the Trump presidency. One that we could remember as the day it all began to fall apart, finally.

Some hope that an impeachment process will bring things to light that will prevent Ivanka ever running? I still worry about her being the first female president.
