From back in Decemeber:

'This shouldn’t get lost in the avalanche of crazy. The wall we need is between DOJ and the White House. The foundation of our democracy- the rule of law- depends on it.' Sally Q. Yates.

Placatory she might be but what if the only way to 'placate' them is to actually lay articles?

cozietoesie · 01/10/2019 00:56

I reckon she's playing a long game.

Re: the alleged “changing of the rules” just before the whistleblower complaint.

Gabriel Malor @gabrielmalor·

Note for readers: this has already been debunked. The whistleblower rules weren't changed, and, of course, if you look at the whistleblower statute, it never had a requirement limiting complaints to those with first-hand knowledge.

The Australian Government has been dragged into this now. (I should say again.)

About to board to the plant for a an extremely ill-timed trip to Italy with astonishingly bad optics, renowned Hungarian Nazi Seb Gorka doesn’t mind the odd boast. (Reminder: Gorka was booted from the Trump admin fairly early for being generally insufferable.) I’m not sure what this trip is about, but it looks like the State Media is sending is best along with Sec Pompeo so it must be important.

I have received a subpoena signed only by Democrat Chairs who have prejudged this case. It raises significant issues concerning legitimacy and constitutional and legal issues including, inter alia, attorney client and other privileges. It will be given appropriate consideration.

Trump may have lied under oath to the Grand Jury.

House lawyers say they have reason to believe that Mueller’s grand jury information shows Trump lied under oath.

Surely he lies as he breathes? Grin I wouldn't have thought there was a "may" about it, but perhaps I'm unduly cynical. It'll get whitewashed, like everything else.

Lweji · 01/10/2019 09:55

He provided written statements, which were presumably checked by other people.

It's another one for the impeachment list.

Lewandowski suggests he won't run for Senate after all
www.politico.com/news/2019/10/01/lewandowski-wont-run-for-senate-014614

Corey Lewandowski told a local radio host Tuesday "it's fair" to say he is reconsidering a Senate run to defend President Donald Trump from impeachment and help him get reelected.

"As much as I think I would be a great fighter for the people of New Hampshire, and one U.S. senator can make a difference, it is my priority to make sure the president of United States is reelected," Lewandowski said on the radio show, "New Hampshire Today with Jack Heath." "That's a top priority."

...
The state's Democratic Party has been closely monitoring Lewandowski's public statements since began floating a run.

“With or without Corey Lewandowski, New Hampshire Republicans are in a nasty primary among candidates all committed to protecting a corrupt President determined to take away health care from thousands of people in the Granite State," party spokesman Joshua Marcus-Blank said.

I think this may be an old campaign video, which Trump retweeted last night. I laughed. Hollowly.

No need for 'hollowly'. That re-tweet was a mistake. A bad one.

'Washington (CNN)The Justice Department will produce 500 pages of memos documenting what witnesses told special counsel Robert Mueller's office and the FBI during their investigation next month.

The documents, known as 302s, memorialize interviews conducted by the office and form the backbone of much of the Mueller report.
CNN and BuzzFeed News had sued for the documents under the Freedom of Information Act, and on Tuesday, a federal judge in Washington, DC, ordered the Justice Department to produce their first tranche of documents by November 1.'

It doesn'y stop.

www.nytimes.com/2019/10/01/us/politics/trump-border-wars.html

'Privately, the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh. After publicly suggesting that soldiers shoot migrants if they threw rocks, the president backed off when his staff told him that was illegal. But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down. That’s not allowed either, they told him.'
