To ask if your face sweats???

I’m in my late thirties and the last few months I’ve noticed my face sweats. I’ll travel for an hour or so and look a total mess by the time I get to wherever I need to be. I don’t wear particularly heavy clothing. Is it an age thing? It’s really disgusting.

Me too! And am also late thirties. I seem to get a surge of heat that works it's way up and then my face is ruined!

flibbertigibbety · 16/09/2019 20:23

I've had this periodically through my life since teens. Never figured out what brings it on unfortunately. Only thing I've found that works is Driclor or Odaban applied very sparingly at night. Can be painful but they are miracle products!

FaFoutis · 16/09/2019 20:25

I have a sweaty face. Muji face blotting paper sorts it out.

Ponoka7 · 16/09/2019 20:25

It could be hormonal. At your age your levels are dropping.

What's your weight and diet like?

I found giving up dairy helped a lot.

IDrinkAndISewThings · 16/09/2019 20:26

All summer I've felt like this. I need a facial anti-perspirant invented post haste!

userlotsanumbers · 16/09/2019 20:28

Is it not something like Vitamin D deficiency that has a weird side effect like this? Do you see the sun much?

IsobelRae23 · 16/09/2019 20:33

Me too!! Bloody hate it. If I shower to go out, I need to shower 3 hours before, as my face carries on sweating and I can’t put make up on.

Mumofboth · 16/09/2019 21:10

Ok, feel a little better I’m not alone in this.
@Ponoka7 diet pretty healthy, no idea about my actual weight but I’m a size 12 and really active.
@userlotsanumbers I am Vitamin D deficient so it’s interesting you say that.
Anyone found a perfect powder or foundation that covers this? I know how rank that sounds but I’m genuinely really upset about it.

SO MUCH FROM THE FACE.

The rest of my body, not so much.

Not a very sweaty person in general.

It ALL comes out of my face.

Always has done. Sports, super-hot weather....

I've decided it's endearing Grin

PawPawNoodle · 16/09/2019 21:15

I'm 29 and my face sweats

Strunderthuck · 16/09/2019 21:15

I thought it was normal to get a sweaty face... is it not? Balls Blush

Evilmorty · 16/09/2019 21:15

My face has always sweated. And my head. Very little sweat elsewhere.

MrsFezziwig · 16/09/2019 21:17

I have always been like this. Same issues with showering, & also drying wet hair - if it’s not the middle of winter I quite often have to sit in the car with the aircon on to put my makeup on so I don’t end up a sweaty mess. And once my face starts to overheat there’s very little I can do to reverse it. The rest of me isn’t particularly sweaty.
I presume it must be due to a wayward gene as my mum was exactly the same.

NotPennysBoat · 16/09/2019 21:19

I've always been like this - body not so sweaty but always on the face! I remember my late mum being the same and I've started to notice it in poor 4yo DD2 as well. Annoying, embarrassing, but what can you do?

NotPennysBoat · 16/09/2019 21:20

@MrsFezziwig cross posts but are you me??

DramaAlpaca · 16/09/2019 21:21

Yes. Since the perimenopause. It's horrible.

Dahlietta · 16/09/2019 21:23

Isn't this pretty much what eyebrows are for? Confused

MyBlueMoonbeam · 16/09/2019 21:27

Yes & also I can't wear face moisturiser because it just slides off 🙄 I'm 56 & it's ridiculous I should be having to wear old people cream but I can't wear any 🤔

Melamine · 16/09/2019 21:27

Late 30s here & I sweat profusely from my pits but not at all from my face or head. Its actually an issue when I exercise in heat as I feel like I’m going to overheat/explode!

yunalis · 16/09/2019 21:29

Odaban. It’s worth the pain!

AlisonS13 · 16/09/2019 21:30

I've always had a sweaty face, little elsewhere. As soon as I get warm I get a red face. My daughter and granddaughter also got my face like a fire gene. No idea where I got it from as neither parent had it. (Must be the milk man's!!)
Will have to try the aircon trick for putting my face on. I'm amazed I haven't thought of it.

ballsdeep · 16/09/2019 21:31

I'm pregnant and my top lip sweats like you wouldn't believe when I'm hot, or even luke warm!

OctopusNow · 16/09/2019 21:32

Ooh! I have this, it's horrible and so bloody embarrassing.
I wear glasses and they just slide down my nose with all the sweat, you can get away with it in summer a bit more but it's just weird in the middle of winter!

Chitarra · 16/09/2019 21:37

Like other posters I'm not a very sweaty person generally - it all comes out of my face! Not wearing make up is the best solution.

DeeCeeCherry · 16/09/2019 21:37

I hate it. When I'm getting dressed and putting my face on ready to go out, I have to sit by the fan. Pedestal fan is my lifesaver. There are facial antiperspirants out there, Ive not tried one but I will. Its my whole face, but forehead the most. I'm menopausal, have lost a bit of weight via low carbing, also cut down on sugar and dairy; I'm finding since this the face sweating isn't so bad. Its still there though.
