Is anyone watching this? She says she's sorry, has worked on her issues etc. The other panellists are taking the view that they will judge her as they find her and that enough time has eclipsed for her to be forgiven.
Aibu to think that it's not appropriate for her to be back on tv, having done what she did and that how Ryan Thomas feels should be the primary consideration.

Eclipsed should read elapsed. My phone prefers eclipsed!

YANBU.

IfYouWannaComeBack · 13/09/2019 10:09

I just thought the exact same thing. I’m all for forgiveness but she shouldn’t be given any sort public platform after her dangerous claims

Aderyn19 · 13/09/2019 10:11

I'm really shocked that channel 5 would have her as a guest. If the camera hadn't caught the truth of what happened, RT could have lost his career and his reputation. False allegations cause untold distress.

I agree- she could have ruined Ryan Thomas’s entire life (not just his career) with her vicious lies.

Mrsjayy · 13/09/2019 10:16

I turned it off apparently she has form for outrageous behaviour she is imo just sorry she got caught and now she needs an income which is fair enough but people are going to be very wary of her.

BadBehaviour · 13/09/2019 10:17

She’s shown her true colours & it came out she’d done it before. She could have ruined him. Not to mention the people who are abused taking offence (rightly so) disgusting behaviour. Would she be apologising if she hadn’t been seen on CCTV? I don’t think so. Sorry for being blunt. I really don’t like what she did. She’s only apologising for the sake of her own reputation/career I have suffered abuse for years, I would never ever dream of doing this to anybody it’s no excuse she’s just nasty

HappyDinosaur · 13/09/2019 10:18

Even if he wishes to forgive her, it isn't something that's going to be easily forgotten. If she can do what she did in a house full of cameras what could she do away from them? She could have had a massive impact on his whole life, I've seen how false accusations can absolutely devastate families. I also don't believe she is genuinely sorry, she's an actress and just wants to be back on tv.

GruciusMalfoy · 13/09/2019 10:18

I don't wish her any harm, she must have a lot of issues to work through to have lied so blatantly. But she seemingly (from what colleagues inferred) has previous history of doing similar, rather than it being a one off incident of terrible decision making, so I don't think she should have any public platform anymore.

EmAreSea · 13/09/2019 10:20

If she needs an income she can get a regular job like everyone else... having a career in television is a privilege, not a right, and she abused that privilege, repeatedly from the sounds of it.

EmmiJay · 13/09/2019 10:21

I'd heckle her every time she spoke if I were in that studio audience 😑

Mrsjayy · 13/09/2019 10:23

I can't see a person like Roxanne with her personality lowering herself to an "ordinary job"

friedeggsandbeans · 13/09/2019 10:23

This woman is disgusting. If the incident had not been filmed, and RT could not prove his innocence, she would have a book out, her career would be flying high and she would be playing the "victim" to an oscar worthy standard. She is a disgrace.

ChrisPrattsFace · 13/09/2019 10:24

I have many mutual friends with her, and she’s been that way forever. There was no surprise about her behaviour when that incident happened and she behaved the same when working on Emmerdale too.
It’s disappointing someone like that has been given airtime again.

Mrsjayy · 13/09/2019 10:28

Ch5 love a bit of controversy Roxanne obviously has good management that got her on.

Lardlizard · 13/09/2019 10:30

Shame on channel 5
Wasn’t it even channel five that aired that big brother show she was in ?!

Wtf ?

EntirelyAnonymised · 13/09/2019 10:50

Channel5 aren’t well known for journalistic integrity

overnightangel · 13/09/2019 10:50

@ChrisPrattsFace I know a fair few people who when she first became famous were absolutely incredulous that she was talking about how she had been bullied at school when in fact she was the nastiest piece of work going. It’s pretty common knowledge where she comes from that this is what she’s like and a lot of people are pleased (not for Ryan Thomas of course) that she ended up showing her true colours for all to see on TV

JaneJeffer · 13/09/2019 10:51

I think anyone who has to work with her will be very wary no matter what job she does. Ryan Thomas was very forgiving.

CharityDingle · 13/09/2019 10:52

I still remember him crying his eyes out as he listed the people who would stand by him. He didn't know at the time that it was very evident that the allegation was false. It was heartbreaking.
She could have destroyed his life. She should not be given a public platform.

loobyloo1234 · 13/09/2019 10:54

I do not think someone who made up such a terrible lie should be anywhere near our TV screens again

She needs to disappear and get a job out of the public eye. She doesn't deserve an ounce of sympathy from anyone

timshelthechoice · 13/09/2019 10:56

YANBU. She's sorry she lost a meal ticket and doesn't want to get another one. That's all. But then, they let Ant back on telly and he's a drink driving cunt who could have killed someone by his actions.

GiveMeSleepAndEvenMoreWine · 13/09/2019 10:58

I turned the television over when I saw she was a panelist

birdsdestiny · 13/09/2019 11:07

I think it's interesting how times have changed. Where do we stand on people who have committed crimes or behaved badly being rehabilitated. Leslie Grantham played a major part in eastenders for years having served time for murder. Ant is still on T.V as is Boy George etc etc. I don't think you can have one rule for one and one rule for the other.

Aderyn19 · 13/09/2019 11:07

I have also turned it off. I'm surprised the panellists are okay with this. It makes me think less of them tbh.
