DH thinks I’m a bit mad: but I stockpile most winters in case we have an awful
Winter. All of the food gets used though eventually.

I’ve stockpiled loo roll, kitchen roll, toothpaste, soap and washing powder.

A freezer full of meals (Mac cheese, bolognaise, various stews, soups and curries, apple crumble (we have apples from our apple trees needing used), 10kg pasta and rice, flour, tins of tomatoes, beans/lentils/chickpeas, tinned fruit and veg. Oh and some UHT milk

Am I missing anything? Are you stockpiling?

Well at least the bonkers ones will be well fed.

Evilmorty · 18/09/2019 23:28

Well fed and clean of arse 👍🏻 It’s not just food we stockpile you know.

It’s just so funny that people think my innocuous cupboard of custard and tinned fruit is bonkers. The state of parliament and our current unelected Emperor with no clothes and yeah, it’s strangers on the internet having some frozen meals that’s bonkers 😂

I think people are deluded if they hark back to WW2 rationing as an indicator that the UK can feed its population. Even then, with a smaller population than now, the UK relied on food supplies from the US and Canada.

anyone seasoned enough to prep, obviously has a camping stove

Surely a generator? Grin

Hi all, erm just wanted to know if people are still stockpiling seeing we are apparently due to leave the EU end of next month?

I've kind of gone through all my stash and am not sure whether it's worth building it up again (only for the exit date to keep changing). What's everyone else doing? Sorry I know this is a bit of a Zombie thread but couldn't find a current one on stockpiling...

JeffreeStar · 13/12/2019 17:37

Yes I’m stock pilling brie because the french won’t let us have any once we leave! Ooh Croissants too. And I’m stock piling Brussels sprouts in case Brussels stop sending us them... ohh champagne too.

MrOnionsBumperRoller · 13/12/2019 17:40

I've stockpiled a fuck tonne of fat, mostly round my belly and arse, having binge comfort eaten to get through the never ending stress of Brexit/Elections.

ChaiNashta · 13/12/2019 19:23

😂 Thanks, you've both given me a good laugh on an otherwise gloomy day 🤣

Lucyccfc68 · 13/12/2019 19:44

I honestly can't decide if this thread is a piss take or if people are serious.

Stock piling FFS, you are all batshit crazy or you all live on a tiny, remote island in the middle of the Atlantic that has no airport, channel tunnel or dozens of ferry ports.

I know people working closely with the Brexit planning. They're are all stockpiling and some are trying to sell their homes so they can leave the UK whilst the pound is still worth something. They predict mass emigration for those with the skills to work in another country. Good luck everyone, try not to kill each other getting to the last bottle of insulin.

Whatafustercluck · 14/12/2019 08:26

I'm stockpiling anger, rage, disappointment - and prosecco.

ThomasShelbysBunnet · 14/12/2019 08:28
