AIBU - my wife tore up my cardboard box and I'm mad as hell

I saved a cardboard box from Lidl which was exactly the right size for the thing I wanted to do. I left it in the porch. It wasn't in anybody's way. I came back to the porch within an hour and my wife had torn it up and put it in the recycling bin. We had a big bustup over this and she won't admit her mistake. She offered me another box from her collection but it wasn't the same size so not as efficient for the thing I'm trying to do. AIBU?

Go to Lidl and get a replacement perfectly sized box, or is that too obvious and drama-less for you?

My Dm has a collection of cardboard boxes. She uses them to wrap gifts in. Last Christmas my Dn thought she had been given a box of chocolates only to discover it was something quite different. DBin law wondered why he had been given half a box of cornflakes.

Does your DW keep her boxes within each other like Russian dolls? I am quite suspicious that one with such a penchant for boxes would discard one so freely. Box envy much?!

If anyone's interested, my ex-husband used his box to store his collection of dreadful old records a valuable set of music which he had saved from his childhood.

I provided a very acceptable alternative and permanent box.

Nonetheless, he saw fit to bring the matter to the attention of our counsellor at Relate.

She quite clearly thought he was mad and advised me to LTB
