I use a squirrel’s tail up my bumhole to clear out the clinkers. It’s very pleasurable.

Anyone else getting the advert for hotel laundry collection services next to this thread?

jam30 · 28/08/2019 18:02

Fresh hand towels and tea towels every day.
Other towels, bedding, bath mat etc once a week unless someone is ill, then it’s more frequent.
All on hot wash (60)

Aragog · 28/08/2019 18:14

Once a week for each of us. One bath sheet each, one hand towel per bathroom and DD and I both have a hair turban type towel each too. No sharing - bar the hand towels. We shower and wash hair every day.

I never use bleach in a wash, ever!

DanglyTasselsOfThigh · 28/08/2019 18:19

Sorry I'm late to the thread, I was busy flossing my bum with a squirrel.

You must always soak your towels in piss!

Every single day!!

The only anti-dote to poo particles is piss particles! I learnt that in science.

HmmGrey · 28/08/2019 18:22

Once a week. Change the hand towel midweek. One load of washing a week at 60c

Aragog · 28/08/2019 18:24

How do people have time to do all this washing every day? I'm not in the house long enough on a week day!

CecilyP · 28/08/2019 18:30

You’ve not been paying attention, Aragon! People put their daily damp towel in the dirty washing basket and wash all 7 towels once a week.

Aragog · 28/08/2019 18:41

That's some big loads - 7 towels per person. Wowsers! Whilst I don't have time during the week to do loads of washing, I certainly don't want to spend all weekend doing tons either!

Reckon I'll stick to be slightly slatternly in some people's worlds.

OooErMissus · 28/08/2019 18:41

I have separate towels from my ds and wash them every 2-3 days ,

So does this mean you share a towel with your DH? And leave the lid up when flushing?!

These threads really do flush out some bizarre habits in people.

Sharing towels is way more grim then not washing them every single day.

user1472151176 · 28/08/2019 18:46

Blush once a week or once every 2 weeks depending on how often they're used. Mine are only used to dry my clean body after a shower and then hung up.

OooErMissus · 28/08/2019 18:48

So if they're only used to dry your clean body, by that logic, they should never need cleaning.

ThighThighOfthigh · 28/08/2019 18:48

This squirrel needs a good wash, look at the poo particles!

Towels and washing? Every day?
MamaFlintstone · 28/08/2019 18:50

I change towels over twice a week. More than that is unnecessary and a waste of time and energy (both in the sense of my energy doing the washing and the power it takes to power my washing machine!)

ThighThighOfthigh · 28/08/2019 18:50

I specifically don't clean my body in the shower, only my hands. I bag the rest of myself.

ThighThighOfthigh · 28/08/2019 18:51

I recently did a hot wash (90)

Jessie94 · 28/08/2019 18:55

Every 3 weeks for towels.
I never use bleach. It's terrible for the environment. I have a very clean home

Tinkerbelle57 · 28/08/2019 18:59

I live alone and I use my bath towels and hair towels 2-3 times and put in wash.
The hand towel probably more often because other people may use it.
Tea towels daily and bed gets changed every 4-6 days, it’s never left for more than a week.

madeyemoodysmum · 28/08/2019 19:01

Once a week or maybe 5 days if I notice they are grubby

TroysMammy · 28/08/2019 19:05

Once a week I think.

Do you change your bed sheets every couple of days too? After all you lie in them approximately 8 hours every night shedding skin, hair and sweating.

HairyDogsOfThigh · 28/08/2019 19:06

I wash squirrels in with my towels if I can, I think it's better for the environment if you can do a mixed load, rather than separate ones.

Ated · 28/08/2019 19:16

We don't need towels as we just stand in front of a floor to ceiling a floor to ceiling body dryer. Eighteen jets of air hitting you as you wave your bits around is an amazing feeling.

Dontsweatthelittlestuff · 28/08/2019 19:17

I am a slattern as not only do we share towels but I don’t wash them until they fail the sniff test which probably means they are good for at least 3 weeks.

I used to change my bedding every two weeks but I am a widow now so I sleep 2 weeks on my side of the bed and then two weeks on my late husbands. I loath changing, washing and drying the duvet so it works for me.

RushianDisney · 28/08/2019 19:22

I honestly think this obsession with cleanliness is an affectation taken up by people with very little else to think about.
