I like the macho peas. Chips are shit. Good veggie options though.

PastelPotential · 21/08/2019 23:39

I've only eaten there once - it seems to be one of those places you are coerced in to going to for team meals. I'm vegetarian, so not a place I'd chose to eat.

Meal was ok, nothing special, but the restaurant smelled rank, a mixture of chicken and grease. Not likely to go back any time soon, or ever.

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 21/08/2019 23:39

My dc love it but it's shite. Hate having to queue up for ages to order and I made the mistake of ordering the peas last time and they were inedible.

poolblack · 21/08/2019 23:40

I went in my first nandos about a year ago. The menu was baffling

Really? It's rather simply laid out!

ElizaDee · 21/08/2019 23:41

Ro be fair though @Dieu she did burn her hands before thinking to use a tea towel ffs, I wouldn't employ her either tbh.

MorganKitten · 21/08/2019 23:43

The new pita and salads are nice

Pancakeflipper · 21/08/2019 23:43

I like our nearest Nandos as they have a few options Inc. dessert for one of my children with food allergies/intolersances.

Did go to another Nandos whilst in another area and it was awful. Is there really such differences between branches/franchises?

I cannot eat KFC - runny bum after 10 mins after 1st bite. Then the vomitting began.

cafenoirbiscuit · 21/08/2019 23:45

🤮

Durgasarrow · 21/08/2019 23:46

Please please please tell me what a "cheeky Nandos" is

dayslikethese1 · 21/08/2019 23:47

It's OK, nothing special and overpriced for what it is. Veggie options are quite nice though. The one I really don't get is Frankie and Benny's Grin

CedarTreeLeaf · 21/08/2019 23:48

It's only good if you're desperate for a low carb takeaway. Otherwise, it's boring and very overpriced.

Findumdum1 · 21/08/2019 23:51

I love Nandos. Many of the restaurants are quite pleasant to sit in (not all), way more so that say a McDonalds. Food choice is good and tasty. I cant comment on the chicken as i am vegetarian but the veggie food is tasty. Its not cheap, but no worse than wagamamas, the burger places etc..Its just a step up from McDonalds and KFC, but worth it imo.

hiddeneverythin · 21/08/2019 23:52

Overpriced chicken and chips

jhb2013 · 21/08/2019 23:53

I have no understanding of the place and have never been able to work out why I have to order at the till and pay for every course. It’s like a parallel universe but the teenagers love it!

Dieu · 21/08/2019 23:53

@ElizaDee

As with Nando's, I strongly suspect that would be no great loss!

HateIsNotGood · 21/08/2019 23:57

What is Nandos? Is it a thing? Do you do yoga there? And eat stuff?

Nothing like that round here.

Sunflower20 · 22/08/2019 00:00

No idea, the food is barely edible.

notso · 22/08/2019 00:02

It's certainly not my first choice if I'm eating out but as far as chains go it's not too bad. I don't inwardly grimace when the kids choose Nando's, where as I certainly do when they choose other places.

WipeYourFeetOnTheRhythmRug · 22/08/2019 00:03

It makes my stomach turn just thinking about the quality of the chicken they use. No thanks.

ClemDanFango · 22/08/2019 00:04

It’s only ok. Nothing special.

runoutofnamechanges · 22/08/2019 00:16

I haven't been in ages but my ex was Portuguese and we used to go because it was the best "Portuguese" (I realise it is technically a South African company) food in London (excluding lovely cakes at Cafe Lisboa). Not that peri peri chicken is haute cuisine but Nandos was the best in the UK. Plus, as fast food goes, they have multiple vegetables as sides, so a step up from KFC, Maccy D's etc. If we were going to eat junk food, I'd rather take the kids somewhere where the food isn't entirely beige and fried. And where I can enjoy a glass of vinho verde.

Although the DC are all grown up now. DS still loves Nandos when it's late at night and he's too tired to cook, for the same reason we took him there as a kid - you can order a side with vitamins in it and they give a decent nhs discount.

LavenderAndBeeswax · 22/08/2019 00:16

Dieu. They should pay them for the trial session as they are giving up their time to work for them.

skybluee · 22/08/2019 00:26

I've only been a few times but I really liked it. I had mediterranean chicken salad (which was lovely and fresh), with peri peri sauce, a pitta bread and perinaise dip. Honestly it was really nice. I do not like unlimited sofa fountains though that was the only thing I wasn't keen on. The rest of it was good.

teachermam · 22/08/2019 00:26

Love it

LollyBmummy3 · 22/08/2019 00:27

Hate it! 😷🤮😷
