I've tried

Lucifer- didn't like it
Stranger Things - loved it
Handmaid's tale - amazing
The Good Place - probably love it too much
Poldark - Aiden Turner is my perfect man, so may be biased, but so good
Being Human - see above
Shameless - lol
House - one of my favourites and one I go back to
GOT - the ending though?
The Kominsky Method - very well done
The OA - amazing
That one with Richard Gere - pah, dragged out

I'm sure there's tons more, but I need some inspiration. I do like a bit of action and drama.

For AIBU purposes, AIBU to ask for inspiration (here for the traffic as I want to start now).

Netflix:

Izombie - based on a comic, zombies who can assimilate into society. Lighthearted, funny with zombies
Znation - zombie apocolypse, a bit parody but in a good way not a benny hill sketch way
New Star Trek series
Madmen - ad execs in the 1960s
Bates motel - Norman Bates as an adolescent weirdo
You - stalker guy, lots of hearing what he's thinking, creepy
The umbrella academy - comic book, kids raised to be super heroes, now adults encountering issues
Night shift - medical drama based around night shift team in Texas hospital staffed by lots of ex-forces staff
Jessica Jones - marvel series, angry, sarcastic, cynical female super powered Private Investigator
Luke cage - marvel series, super strong, bullet proof guy protecting the neighbourhood from gangs and evil

Battlestar Galatica - definitely.
And a very old one - Six Feet Under ...

Misty9 · 21/08/2019 20:07

I'd definitely recommend euphoria which has just come out on sky. Gritty and hard viewing at times but brilliant acting

RobustFlange · 21/08/2019 20:11

Patrick Melrose

BunnyColvin · 21/08/2019 20:12

Netflix:

Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
Schitt's Creek
Unforgotten
Line of Duty
Bodyguard
Orange is the New Black
Good Girls
Dead to me
Grace and Frankie
The Kominski Method
River
Luther
Russian Doll

RobustFlange · 21/08/2019 20:13

Sorry, Patrick Melrose on NowTV. Worth my subscription just for this programme - best thing on TV for years.

Normallyalurker · 21/08/2019 20:13

Peaky Blinders

This Country Grin

orangeblosssom · 21/08/2019 20:20

If you liked Stranger things then you'll like Chilling adventures of Sabrina.

Normallyalurker · 21/08/2019 20:21

also McMafia

MamaSparkles · 21/08/2019 20:21

Not sure if anyone has suggested this yet, but white collar on Netflix is one of my favourites!

RavenclawWriter · 21/08/2019 20:23

Sense8.

It's Scifi on Netflix with excellent characters.

ReapersHowler · 21/08/2019 20:24

The Order
Titans
Sons of Anarchy (years behind on this I know but absolutely one of the best series I've ever seen, much better than Breaking Bad imo)

ReapersHowler · 21/08/2019 20:25

Also yes yes to Sabrina and Workin' Moms!

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 21/08/2019 20:29

I loved 12 Monkeys.

Unfortunately the last series is not easy to track down in the UK.

laurG · 21/08/2019 20:30

Mindhunter

AnnonniMoose · 21/08/2019 20:31

I know you say action, but if you like a wholesome feelgood series with horses and cowboys, Heartland is very good.

iklboo · 21/08/2019 20:38

Westworld if you fancy a total headfuck

SamBeckett · 21/08/2019 20:41

The musketeers ( on bbc Iplayer) my there are some good looking men and women on there !

Milkstick · 21/08/2019 20:59

@TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross I loooooved the mentalist. So bad it's brilliant. Where do you watch it?

Milkstick · 21/08/2019 21:01

I second Sabrina, Mad Men, Patrick Melrose. Can't go wrong with a bit of Voyager either.

MsFrosty · 21/08/2019 21:03

I enjoyed manifest and departure that were on recently

awsomeDean · 21/08/2019 21:15

Supernatural
Hero's

Bluefargo · 21/08/2019 21:20

The sinner

faw2009 · 21/08/2019 21:32

If you like sci-fi and time travelling, Travelers is excellent.

Orphan Black is a great series too - a little silly at times, but fun and the lead actress is incredible.

PlaceYourItemInTheBaggingArea · 21/08/2019 21:35

I'm noting everything as it's being suggested. On episode 2 of The Boys so far, so good.
