I've tried

Lucifer- didn't like it
Stranger Things - loved it
Handmaid's tale - amazing
The Good Place - probably love it too much
Poldark - Aiden Turner is my perfect man, so may be biased, but so good
Being Human - see above
Shameless - lol
House - one of my favourites and one I go back to
GOT - the ending though?
The Kominsky Method - very well done
The OA - amazing
That one with Richard Gere - pah, dragged out

I'm sure there's tons more, but I need some inspiration. I do like a bit of action and drama.

For AIBU purposes, AIBU to ask for inspiration (here for the traffic as I want to start now).

Black Mirror - a lot of them are quite dark (if you'll pardon the pun) but the mental gymnastics involved in the plots more than made up for it

Cyw2018 · 21/08/2019 18:44

The Boys

m.imdb.com/title/tt1190634/

The West Wing, aka American government 101!

Depends really on what you like, we tend to return to a very old set of DVDs North and South, the John Jakes books not Elizabeth Gaskell, stars a very young Patrick Swayze, among hundreds of others.

Whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 21/08/2019 18:45

I'd recommend happy valley

Satina · 21/08/2019 18:46

AnnonniMoose · 21/08/2019 19:19

Just watches all the series of Battlestar Galactica (prim) Grin.

Warehouse 13 is good.
Dollhouse
Preacher
Vikings
Z-Nation if you like zombies
Van Helsing

AnnonniMoose · 21/08/2019 19:20

Prime - not prim!

PeoplesFrontOfJudith · 21/08/2019 19:23

Ghosts
Gentleman Jack
Black Mirror
Star Trek Discovery but only the first season, second wasn’t a patch on it.
Orphan Black - haven’t finished it all yet
Try The Orville, I wasn’t overly impressed but I know lots of other people liked it.

I agree with PP, but little lies is a great watch. Not least for the setting. Amazing scenery and lovely houses
