To be pissed of at my boss

Ok sorry it is s bit long but didn't want to drip feed. Got a boss who is a nightmare and she likes to publicly humiliate people, do she tried to do it to me a couple of weeks ago by printing out a couple of documents she claimed showed I had made a mistake on. She the waved them about as she marched over to my desk and slapped them down and announced loudly in the open plan office that I had done them wrong. When I looked at them and noticed that they were partial documents of the same thing and pointed that out to her she got onto a temper and stomped off. An hour later she announced that i would be working at a different location for the next two weeks for training purposes, ok but the new location is 24.5 miles further away from my home so almost 50 extra miles a day travelling, an extra hour at least of travel time. Of course there was no training provided I was just hot desking at another location. Then an insulting meeting towards the end of the 2 weeks where I did not show the appropriate degree of gratefullness for the previous 2 weeks of non training i was told it was now extended a further 2 weeks. So I will be forced to drive an extra 1000 miles, spend £300 on fuel and with the extra travel time loose around 26 hours, just because she is a bitch. And the £300 is coming out of my holiday savings. I am beyond livid and feel like walking out. How can I kill her and hide the body?

What does your contract say about working from different locations?

Is there someone above her?

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:00

The next up is her pal so not a lot of support there. She has reduced two other staff members to years and others have left because of her but she seems to be untouchable

Find another job - it doesn’t sound like things will improve unfortunately

sweeneytoddsrazor · 20/08/2019 21:04

Why is it costing you? You should be paid travelling time and your petrol as you are training.

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:05

I know, but right now I prefer the hide the body option 🤔

JonSlow · 20/08/2019 21:06

Claim it all back on expenses

sweeneytoddsrazor · 20/08/2019 21:07

Well if you prefer the hide the body, I am led to believe the most obvious place is often overlooked.

Sexnotgender · 20/08/2019 21:07

That sounds hideous. Is there an HR department?

JonSlow · 20/08/2019 21:07

And email her to say you’ll be including travel time in your working hours. So do less work.

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:07

I will get the milage back eventually, but not before my holiday, so that is £300 less spending money I have to take with me. But don't get time back.

RandomMess · 20/08/2019 21:10

Do you have a HR department?

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:10

Expenses are pretty slim, and there is no training involved that was just an excuse to force me to go there, if I refused to go she could say I refused to be trained

I would be looking for a new job ASAP.

She sounds like a power hungry bitch and her pal being the next manager above her - as professional as she may be, will always have loyalty for her friend.

Best of luck

sweeneytoddsrazor · 20/08/2019 21:14

Well I am not an expert on these matters but in any job I have had, I have been paid for the time it would take me to get from my place of work to the training venue and I didn't think they could leave you out of pocket for any length of time with regards to expenses

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:21

I will try to claim traveling time, but pretty sure I won't get it, and expenses are paid in the pay at the end of the month following the claim, so if o claimed if tomorrow I would get it at the end of September. After my holiday.

Going to sleep thinking about body hiding ideas. Any suggestions gratefully received, might stop me fuming quite so much

Have her stuffed and hide her in plain sight by posing her around the office. That way, no one will notice she's dead.

Where's Sandra? There she is... checking her emails, she asked not be disturbed/inventory in the stationary cupboard/has the runs so will be in the toilet for a long time.

Get creative.

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:29

Lol I like it

How is there no document detailing what the training covers, & what you are expected to learn?

What would happen if you said there was no point going, because there is in fact no training happening?

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 20/08/2019 21:37

I’d email her back, as your aware I’ve been sent to X office for training, I have been here for 2 weeks and currently desk hopping with no training being given.

As the training has been extended can you please advise what training this is for and when training will commence.

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:40

I tried that, said there has been no training and that's why it has now been extended 2 weeks. Not going to win that way. Hiding the body .....

Find two other people who also want to kill their bosses and swapsies...

wowfudge · 20/08/2019 21:42

On the plus side, at least you're not in the same place as bitch features for a while.

notagoodidea · 20/08/2019 21:43

It is all about the paper trail. Not what actually happens
