to think that if you say you think climate change is an issue, you don't go on 4 private jet trips in a month

Because there are better ways of travelling.

No matter who you are..

Also why didn’t anyone seem to notice the rather increasingly unattractive Andrew pop on a private jet last week to escape ? All the attention on the Susses

Has Andrew been speaking at climate change conferences?

He is known as airmiles Andy.I bet there are some interesting debates around the dinner table if they ever discuss issues like climate change at a family gathering.

She's been panicking about climate change for 8 years, maybe they have tried to calm her down.

Yes, this all started when she was 8. 8!! What does an 8 year old child know about climate science? She went on to convince her entire family to become climate activists and her mum to totally give up her career as an opera singer in pursuit of that goal. It sounds as if - far from the adults calming her down - she managed to panic everyone in the family, and they listened to her and unquestioningly went along with the whole thing. I’m sure they were absolutely doing their best by her, but in what world is an 8 year old child allowed to influence the actions of an entire family to this extent? How can giving her this kind of power be good for her - or them?

It all speaks to the hysteria that has developed around the environmental movement - politicians clapping along as a 16 year old tells them they’re getting it all wrong and nobody having the balls to point it the fact that she is a) 16 b) not a scientist c) vulnerable and d) absolutely not an expert. The science is NOT “unequivocal” - this speaks to a lack of understanding about how scientific research works - and even if it was, the actual solutions are unbelievably complex.

Please don't patronise me @jillyhilly I work in medical research, I understand the principles of scientific research.

I understand the vaccines do not cause Autism.

I understand that smoking is a cause of lung (and other) cancers.

I understand that CO2 levels are rising.
I understand that the Earth is getting hotter.
I understand that scientists feel this is no longer in debate.
I understand that whilst there have been regional variations in temperature over the past 2,000 years there has never, in that time, been a situation whereby the whole planet is changing temperature at the same time. Never in 2,000 years.

You can continue to be a climate change denier but you are no better than an anti-vaxxer.

Elton John and other celebs call out us civilians for having the temerity to point out the hypocrisy of this petulant and indulged pair.

The 2 most famous and iconic women in the world felt able to travel amongst the common folk - the Queen takes the train to Norfolk and Princess Diana often traveled commercial - but sadly these 2 are far too important.

Really, I'm so over the RF. a shame as I was once an ardent royalist.

Depends how far away the place is that you want to go. A lot of people travel regularly in that way for work as well as holidays.

Personally I'm not very keen on travelling anyway but if people want to, I see nothing wrong. If they decided not to for environmental reasons, I doubt their decision would make any difference to the world.

When going away, generally people choose the most efficient and comfortable method of travelling and who can blame them. I have friends and neighbours who frequently fly away (& they don't have wings :-) ).
