So I posted a thread on height and weight the other day and the most interesting finding was that weights look totally different on different people (even if same height).

So if you want to, please post your height, weight and stats. I just find these threads fascinating!

I’m 5ft 4, 8 stone 7lb and bust 33, waist 26.5, hips 35

Dress size 8-10 (sometimes M&S 6s)

OP posts:
origamiunicorn · 19/08/2019 20:36

I forgot to add I'm 5ft 9" ☺️

PooWillyBumBum · 19/08/2019 20:36

How do you all know these measurements!? I’ve only ever measured myself when dressmaking - which I then swiftly forget until next time - otherwise I assume I’m okay unless I start spilling out of size 8 jeans.

origamiunicorn · 19/08/2019 20:42

I'm actively trying to lose 20 pounds ☺️

Veterinari · 19/08/2019 20:44

I think this is really interesting because I suspect a lot of posters are taking their existing bra band size as their bust size and from looking at the sizes eg size 12 bust 38 inches, there’s No way you’re in the right bra size.

Most women wear bras that are way too big in the band and way too small in the cup. The extra band inches are just attempting to deal with cup overspill. Women who think they’re a 38C are much more likely to be a 34For something similar

Groovee · 19/08/2019 20:53

@PooWillyBumBum recently got measured for bras but I check my stats every 6 weeks to keep track.

timshelthechoice · 19/08/2019 20:58

I think that's why these threads are so interesting, because it's something not many people discuss, certainly not in my experience.

And people lie on the internet all the time, certainly in anyone's experience.

Siameasy · 19/08/2019 20:59

Yes I recently got measured properly Veterinari and went from a 38B (!!) to a 34C and the fit is so much more flattering.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/08/2019 21:04

Vetinari, isn't it the overbust measurement?

I'm 5'5", about 9 and half stone, 38-26-39 and am usually a size 10.

Siameasy · 19/08/2019 21:07

Hips widest part Tapas even if that does seem more like your bum. I know mines correct as I was measured recently for a bridesmaid dress
Slim hips are not that great. They look good in leggings and skinny jeans. I look shapeless in dresses. And if you’ve a hint of a belly there’s no curve to counteract it. So I have to make sure I keep a waist/hip ratio of below 0.8 or I look boxy. Apple shape!🤷‍♀️
I always think that Kim K hasn’t actually got a tiny waist she just has huge (artificial) hips.

Veterinari · 19/08/2019 21:07

Vetinari, isn't it the overbust measurement?

If it is that would make more sense, but I suspect lots of posters are just posting their bra strap

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/08/2019 21:13

My grandma had an 15" waist when she married. I can only imagine the underwear required to do that!

ragged · 19/08/2019 21:14

35" bust makes sense with 34" or so hips.

I'm more confused by the folk saying they are 33-34" hips which means they wear size 10.
I've got 38" hips & usually wear a 10. They must be measuring hips very differently from me.

Brazenhussy0 · 19/08/2019 21:17

5 ft 4
Bust - 32
Waist - 26
Hips - 34
Weight - 9 st 4 lbs

I do a lot of cycling and weight training so have rather dense, muscular thighs (which is where I suspect most of my weight is!)

Brazenhussy0 · 19/08/2019 21:20

Oops, forgot the dress size: 8 -10

MabDresden · 19/08/2019 21:27

I am 42:32:42, so classic hourglass, generally a size 14 sometimes a 12. Couldn’t get my broad shoulders in anything less! I am a bravissimo fan. My BMI hovers around 24, I could lose a bit of weight, I am 5’6”.

tillytoodles1 · 19/08/2019 21:31

I'm an apple so 44 chest, 38 waist and 34 hips, 5'4" and 12 st 8lbs

MabDresden · 19/08/2019 21:32

This is over bust measurement now, I am 34G

CellarFloor · 19/08/2019 21:34

Yes, YABU

GizzardChops · 19/08/2019 21:47

I'm 5ft 6.5" weight just over 11 stone and measurements are:
Bust 39"
Waist 32"
Hips 40.5"

I'm still carrying a lot of baby weight (DC2 is 7 months) and would like to weigh 10 stone again at some point.

hopefulhalf · 20/08/2019 06:28

5'5" (165cm). On a good day bust 35 waist 25 hips 35 weight 58kgs (9st 5??). On a not so good day bust 35 waist 27 hips 36 weight 61kgs (9st ?10?). Mostly somewhere in the middle. I have 26 and 28in jeans, when tbe 26s get tight I know to lay off the treats.

hopefulhalf · 20/08/2019 06:39

I wear mostly 10s with the odd 8 thrown in. Again when the 10s are getting tight, I know I need to reign it in.

TinyMystery · 20/08/2019 07:22

@Brazenhussy0 me too! I suspect most of my weight is glutes and quads! 😂

hopefulhalf · 20/08/2019 07:27

Sorry my thin weight is 9st 1 chunkier weight 9 st 8 (can you tell I don't do imperial?)

Treaclepie19 · 20/08/2019 07:57

36-34-48
5ft 6 and 14st
Have put on 2 stone since last year when I lost a lot of weight :( Which I am now trying to lose again.
I'm a classic pear too. Tiny (in comparison) on top and big on the bottom.

Treaclepie19 · 20/08/2019 07:57

Oh and dress size 16 top and 18 bottom generally.
