So I posted a thread on height and weight the other day and the most interesting finding was that weights look totally different on different people (even if same height).

So if you want to, please post your height, weight and stats. I just find these threads fascinating!

I’m 5ft 4, 8 stone 7lb and bust 33, waist 26.5, hips 35

Dress size 8-10 (sometimes M&S 6s)

OP posts:
TapasForTwo · 19/08/2019 08:20

I'm a classic pear Sad
Bust 5" smaller than hips
Waist 12" smaller than hips
Dresses and skirts that don't flare just don't fit me. So I can't wear shift dresses or pencil skirts.

Freesunglasses · 19/08/2019 08:20

Size 12 in clothes.

TapasForTwo · 19/08/2019 08:21

5'7" and size 12/14
Weight 9st 9

BalloonSlayer · 19/08/2019 08:23

5'5", 8 stone 5, measurements:33, 25, 36.

Only just getting in to size 10s after losing 1st 4lb and going from 39,31,38 on BIWI's low carb boot camp (thought would add a plug here!) Am finding waists loose though, maybe as I am 54 and shop in "older" shops which allow for bigger waists. Perhaps I should go to some 'younger' shops but I fear an alarm will go off "Awwooga! AWWOOGA! Old bag entering shop unaccompanied by teenaged daughter!!"

feelingverylazytoday · 19/08/2019 08:30

5'4" , 63kgs, measurements 38 - 31 - 37. Wear size 10 bottoms, 12 in tops and dresses.
I would love to have a small waist but I never have done , even when I was very thin.

YesQueen · 19/08/2019 08:32

@Anotherusefulname same

BustedDreams · 19/08/2019 08:34

5ft. Hovering under/over 10st. I wear clothes 8 - 14 depending on brand/shop/cut/fabric/style. I have some NYDJ straight cut jeans in an 8 that fit in all the right places, lift my bum, pull in my middle, sit in the right place on my waist and make my legs look longer. They are my miracle jeans ❤️ Bust 36, waist 30 ish, hips 36.

crushingonpacey · 19/08/2019 08:47

I'm 5'6 and weight 9 stone 12

Bust - 32
Waist - 26
Hips - 38

I am a complete pear!! And at the moment I wear a size 10...

fikel · 19/08/2019 08:51

Height 5 6”

Likethebattle · 19/08/2019 09:06

Erm just no!

Needallthesleep · 19/08/2019 09:19

I think this is so interesting.

@feelingverylazytoday I’m almost the same as you. I’m 35 - 31 - 36, weighing about 63kg at 5 foot 4. Sizes range from squeezing into a 12 in topshop, to a comfortable 12 in Boden/warehouse, to 10 - 12 in M&S.

Insertdeadcatsnamehere · 19/08/2019 09:33

5 ft 8. 40 32 39 12ish stone (don't look very often) 12 or 14 depending on shop. Waist and boobs usually a couple of inches smaller than that but just had a baby.

GinDaddy · 19/08/2019 09:37

@catworrier I did see you’d posted but I said “in detail”...

...the OP asked for three specific measurements, and the people who in the main are responding, are those with an 8-10 dress size and a waist measurement in the 20s. That’s just factual and that’s what I was getting at. Apologies.

LemonPrism · 19/08/2019 09:38

32-28-33

I used to have a 26 waist but recently am permanently bloated so that's gone.

LemonPrism · 19/08/2019 09:38

Oh and 5'4, 9 stone 4

Siameasy · 19/08/2019 09:38

5’4”
9st 5
I wear a 34C
Waist 29, hips 38
So 34-29-38
Dress sizes depend on shop. M and S I’d choose a 6 or 8 but a ten is prob most likely, could be a 12 in some shops (I imagine Top Shop although I don’t shop there?). I’ve got quite big shoulders.

Groovee · 19/08/2019 09:43

5ft 1, 32, 32, 40 weigh 11st but have lost 5.5st. Boobs are a FF so it varies as to what size fits me and what shop as sometimes I need an 8, other times it's a 14 as my boobs are too big for the 12.

AllieDidNotDeserveBea · 19/08/2019 09:46

Waist - 29, Bust - 32, Hips - 34.5

I'm a size 10/12 and weight 9 and a half stone, 5.7 height.

AllieDidNotDeserveBea · 19/08/2019 09:47

I wear A-cup bralettes not proper bras.

CookPassBabtridge · 19/08/2019 10:42

I'm always amazed by all the low weights on here, don't see it off mumsnet Grin

CookPassBabtridge · 19/08/2019 10:42

thenewaveragebear1983 · 19/08/2019 11:22

Cook people don't tend to shout about their weight in real life though do they? I think that's why these threads are so interesting, because it's something not many people discuss, certainly not in my experience.

I always am surprised that for my height I am easily a good stone heavier than people who are a dress size bigger. I am quite muscular from running, but in no way am I really muscly, so my bones must be made of lead or something. I've always been heavy for my size.

CookPassBabtridge · 19/08/2019 12:25

No I know people don't shout about it, I mean from looking at people I am surrounded by at work, school, town I live in etc.. average size 14/16. But on mumsnet everyone who posts on these threads (or most) are size 8-10 and 9 stone something. I suppose there's a lot of healthy people here or these threads don't attract heavier posters.
