Ok am going to admit to liking listening to bit of 1980s power ballad shite. However listing to Phil Collins - and had a thought that it sounds like a sound track for the divorced man. Agree?

Art comes from emotion and of the deepest emotions is pain, which can produce some amazing music. I might say that music which comes from pain (infidelity, break ups, divorce etc) has a better, or more motivational, sound than love ballads.

I’ll give you Adele, now there’s a woman who knows how to have a wallow. But pink is more angry and ranting, Taylor is more snidey and Beyoncé is more imperious. Phil Collins is more kind of whiny, sorry Phil.

I've never understood why he was promoted from drummer to singer. He cannot sing - well, ok he can stay in tune but his voice is soooo thin and whiney, it's really bad.

I love Phil Collins, always turn the radio up when one of his tracks is played on the radio, particularly love two hearts his voice is so distinctive, never realised he wrote going loco down in Acapulco until recently. Whatever anyone thinks about him personally he is an incredibly talented, singer, writer, drummer, performer, actor and in my opinion underrated, I think he will be one of those artists who when he dies will the reach legend status but for now is just a “guilty pleasure” which is a shame.

hate is a strong word...id cut my ears of before i listened to him if choice was a thing.you can hurry love,you arent a great train robber,you spewd an awfy lotta non 50s,60s,70s,80s sileage...wanked bob geldof(possibly)AND we had a french student,from lille(in france,donchuknow)in 19800sumething who loved "genesis"even tho i liked her..her "juaneesees"obsession fuckt her up for me....what aws the aibu??
