To be suspicious of this text

Hi ladies,

So ive been dating a guy for a while now (8 months) we get on amazing, he lives 100 miles away from me so makes dating hard, but I'm 100% committed to him and he says he is with me. However;
We were talking tonight via text about him going out with his friend and I get a text saying " I don't understand why you're counting with us 🤦🏻‍♂️♥️ Xxxxxx"

He then proceeded to (in my own opinion) panic and text me straight away saying the text was for his sister, he then called me 7 times, text me 3 times and messaged me on Instagram within 5 mins ( I was in the shower at the time this happened)

I would've thought the text was strange but laughed it off because I had no reason to mistrust him, however his response to this had put me on edge, am I right to have this feeling??? What would you do??

I was also thinking weeks/months but the massive overkill of kisses makes sense.

But that's a horrible shock from someone you trust OP.

The face palm emoji makes me think it was a reference to how many shags too - and he's saying "I don't know why you're counting with us 🤦🏼‍♂️ " as in "we just have so much sex, us two!"

The way I initially interpreted it is that perhaps they're a group who sees who can shag each other the most - or go 'cunting' as @EileenAlanna explained.

Completely irrelevant I know but my take on the text was something along the lines of,
BF: Fancy going out tonight? My treat
OW: oh no, you've paid the past two times
BF: I can't believe you're counting with us!

Whatever his frankly ridiculous explanations involve that text does suggest intimacy, not just a friendly or 'bants' relationship.
I'm so sorry OP, you are far too good for him. I hope he gets stung by a wasp on his way yo work tomorrow x

Who the hell deletes text messages as soon as they receive them?

It's very odd indeed.

I know a couple of people who do this - both men. And they cite the reason as 'I hate untidiness and unnecessariness, and so why keep messages that are irrelevant now?' So weird.

I'd never have thought anybody was counting shags. I don't have a clue how to interpret that message other than it was a typo. Maybe thats why I was always with twats though.

However the guy is suspicious for signing his texts with hearts and kisses and saying it was for his sister. He is clearly telling lies.

I'm still baffled by whatever the message is supposed to mean as it makes no sense!

As someone who is paranoid I would overzealously call to make sure the person understood I wasn't cheating.

However, who on earth deletes messages as they come in? Not dedicated enough to the lie to get someone to text him, set up a conversation and save them as his sister?!
