I’m so bloody pissed of .we have a decking area in our garden with a roof ,it’s where we used to sit quietly to eat our meals on nice days.
The lovely neighbors behind us have backed their trampoline so it is actually shaking the fence as all the kids bounce and scream.
I’m sick of it .their garden 4 times the size of ours ,they didn’t need to put it next to our seating area..and they can clearly see it is our seating area.
They have been on it all day screaming.
I’ve 4 kids ,so yeah mine made noise ,blah blah blah ,but I wouldn’t of ever put a trampoline next to someone’s seating area.selfish

Have a chat with them, neighbour to neighbour and see if they will move it.

DeRigueurMortis · 11/08/2019 16:32

YANU

Same applies to hot tubs...

Walkamileinmyshoes · 11/08/2019 16:33

But why would they want to listen to the racket?Wink

Mammatino · 11/08/2019 16:34

I bet it's the furthest point from their house too. Yanbu.

Poochandmutt · 11/08/2019 16:35

They are not going to move it ,we had 2 weekends of drilling ,so the have anchored it to concrete they have set in the ground .
We thought they were putting their own fence in ,when we had the drilling ,.but no I can’t quite see exactly how they have done it ,but enough of the concrete and rock ended up in our garden

StoneofDestiny · 11/08/2019 16:36

What idiotically insensitive neighbours. Ask them nicely to move it.

Poochandmutt · 11/08/2019 16:36

Yep futhest point from their house

I thought you were going to complain about having to keep throwing children back over the fence after bouncing into your garden!

Unhomme · 11/08/2019 16:38

They can put it where they like. Yabu

StoorieHoose · 11/08/2019 16:38

Weve had this with 2 neighbours. Selfish wanks. They couldnt understand that I didn't want to see their children's heads over the fence when sitting eating my dinner

Poochandmutt · 11/08/2019 16:39

While I’m on the subject they have also put up a outdoor light to deter burglars, that switches on at any movement, only it’s shining right in our conservatory every time it turns on..and it’s really really bright .😰😰fed up ,

I bet Unhomme has a trampoline right next to their neighbours fence

IncrediblySadToo · 11/08/2019 16:40

Hose pipe?

StoorieHoose · 11/08/2019 16:41

You need some windchimes and a chimnea to have a fire everytime they are on the trampoline and smoke them out

StrongTea · 11/08/2019 16:42

Selfish, can you put up screening to give you more privacy. We had similar. Dropped taller posts into the gap between their fence and ours then added slats to top of fence.

Walkamileinmyshoes · 11/08/2019 16:42

unhomme don’t be ridiculous. It is utterly unacceptable and not very neighbourly. Both the trampoline and the conservatory light.

TabbyMumz · 11/08/2019 16:42

Put your sprinkler on right by the fence. Our neighbours have done this too. Right by our fence. Kids jump up and look into our lounge. I took to standing, staring at them with arms crossed. It worked.

Unhomme · 11/08/2019 16:42

I have a trampoline in my garden and it is near the fence with the neighbour. It's also the most convenient place to put it.

And for 30 minutes (if that) bouncing a day.

Walkamileinmyshoes · 11/08/2019 16:44

If they went to do much trouble to install it, I wonder why they didn’t have one of the ground-based ones? It would drive me up the wall. Bad enough the noise, etc, of your own kids without having the pleasure of theirs as well.

Poochandmutt · 11/08/2019 16:44

Nothing I can do except moan on here ..
I just want to point out
I have a very small garden ,so I never allowed my kids a trampoline as they would of been able to see in to both gardens next to us and behind us..wish I hadn’t bothered being so considerate now ,as they haven’t afforded us the same courtesy

OP posts:
Unhomme · 11/08/2019 16:44

There's also a big hedge between us.

Noise will travel regardless, unless the garden is 4 acre.

Poochandmutt · 11/08/2019 16:45

No noise from my kids now .all adults

BlackCatSleeping · 11/08/2019 16:45

Get 20 cats and train them to shit in their garden?

Not really, but loads of sympathy for you. It sounds crap. Sad

Laiste · 11/08/2019 16:46

If it's shaking the fence then it's unreasonable of them to have it that close.

Go round and let them know that the fence is being made unstable and the fact it's so close to your seating area is a bit annoying because of the noise.

If they've drilled the thing into the ground once they'll have to drill it in somewhere else. I'd have a word about their light angled wrongly as well. Why is their blithe enjoyment of life any more important than yours?

Readytogogogo · 11/08/2019 16:47

That is very selfish of them. I would consider mentionind it to them, if they are half decent then they should try to remedy it a little e.g. no trampolining at your mealtimes. And get rid of the light!
