To have fallen in love with princess Charlotte and her mother?

I’ve always been neutral when it comes to the royals. Didn’t even watch the wedding(s).

But the a clip of Princess Charlotte cheekily poking her tongue at the public and her mother’s reaction is delightful.

The DoC seems to be blossoming into her role as future queen and this little interaction with daughter and public absolutely makes me melt!

OP posts:

Op I totally agree with you. I think the Cambridges seem like a lovely, down to earth family and Charlotte is stealing the show. I think she’s an absolute cutie and I love the behaviour that Kate and William are modelling.

Louiselouie0890 · 10/08/2019 18:33

Theres some bizarre responses here. Eating a 4 year old alive for sticking her tongue out and being rude and then going on to saying the OP is stupid/ brainwashed or miserable for saying shes fell in love. Which is obviously an expression! Lord weep a 4 year old stuck there tongue out.

U2HasTheEdge · 10/08/2019 19:21

Charlotte is 4. Only on MN could someone think she is bratty. Kate couldn't have won either way. If she had told her off publicly she would have people running her down for that too. She probably didn't find it hilarious and was embarrassed. Bloody hell, I laughed before in awkward situations.

Apparently the paparazzi blow raspberries and stick their tongue out encouraging the children to do it back so they can photograph it

That doesn't surprise me at all.

Nettie1964 · 10/08/2019 20:53

Love children but not rude ones. Poking her tounge out who taught her that? Its rude and disrespectful from any child and has to be learnt or approved of

JaimeBronde · 10/08/2019 22:28

Exactly this.

I swear there are posters on this site that would even have an argument with a lamppost due to the threads I've seen over the last 12 years.
e.g if you buy pre cut fruit you are pretentious/lazy/common/snobby etc.

Spinderellacutituponetime · 10/08/2019 22:34

Quite possible she laughed because she was embarrassed....and Who the feck actually knows what she said to her child? Why is everyone getting their knickers in a twist and pretending that their perfect bloody children would never in a million years do something as heinous as sticking out their tongue? Children are unpredictable, even those that are normally angels can have their moments. None of us know what it’s like to be four, followed everywhere and ‘papped’ constantly. Must really suck. Give them a friggin break. Sanctimonious MNers strike again.

PortiaCastis · 10/08/2019 22:42

The 4 year old was probably just copying the disgusting paparazzi who were probably trying to get her to stick out her tongue by doing it themselves and then trying to make yet another shitty story out of a 4 year old.
Kerb licking scumbags.
She's 4 years old and they should be ashamed

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 10/08/2019 22:47

Poking her tounge out who taught her that?

The member of the press who did it to her.

Beautga · 10/08/2019 23:22

It was probably the first time she had the child all week they are brought up by nannies.Than at 7 shipped of to boarding school.I suggested you get a life.A royal baby is just another drain on the taxpayers

AppropriateAdult · 11/08/2019 11:31

I will eat my hat if any of the Cambridge children are sent to boarding school before 11/12.

Mumofyoungteenagers · 11/08/2019 11:34

Am I the only one (shamelessly not read all of the responses) who spotted the princess flinching when the DoC went to respond to her? It’s only a split second but it was a definite flinch! Now I’m not for a second making any accusations against either parents, before anyone says that- but they are not the only care givers and someone somewhere has caused that little girl to flinch after doing something “naughty” surely? Do children of that age flinch without reason? I can’t remember my own children flinching.

Fitch77 · 11/08/2019 11:38

The press photographers poke their tongues out at royal children to get a reaction. Then it goes in the papers depicting the royal children as being 'cheeky'.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 11/08/2019 11:44

I’ve watched it several times over. There was no flinching.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 11/08/2019 12:00

Oh ffs

She did not flinch.

NoTheresa · 11/08/2019 12:05

The member of the press who did it to her
And you know this how exactly?Hmm

Whatafackinliberty · 11/08/2019 12:06

Royal threads on here are so fucking embarrassing.

NoTheresa · 11/08/2019 12:06

It is bad behaviour.

goldenlabs · 11/08/2019 12:07

I’m so tired of this family and all the fawning that goes on.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 11/08/2019 12:11

And you know this how exactly?hmm

Because that’s what happened. It’s not news.

wigglybluelines · 11/08/2019 12:22

OMG the sound of cameras is insane, how many of them there are, it's as relentless as some kind of gentle machine gun fire.

I don't know how many of our DC - or even us adults would deal with that on a regular basis!

I'm no Royalist but FFS this is a child! And I can well believe the press stick their tongues out at her.

Her mum's reaction seemed loving and not uptight, more than can be said for many of the posters on this thread, criticising a 4 yo. Seriously, get a life!

OP as I said I'm no Royalist, but just looking at the people in this clip as human beings YANBU the interaction between mother and DD is lovely.

soveryconfused1 · 11/08/2019 13:54

@Mumofyoungteenagers

What on Earth are you interring? Hmm

LadyHooHa · 11/08/2019 14:26

interring 😂

soveryconfused1 · 11/08/2019 14:33

😂

Obviously autocorrect for inferring. Although interring could well be apt with the number of posters wishing to bury the royals!

NoTheresa · 11/08/2019 14:49

Royal child or not, provocation or not - poking out your tongue is rude. Not cute. Not sweet. Not understandable given the big bad press on her case.

Jesus, she is 4 years old. She is not going to be perfectly behaved all the time and like every child in the world will need reminders on how to conduct themselves in public!
