To have fallen in love with princess Charlotte and her mother?

I’ve always been neutral when it comes to the royals. Didn’t even watch the wedding(s).

But the a clip of Princess Charlotte cheekily poking her tongue at the public and her mother’s reaction is delightful.

The DoC seems to be blossoming into her role as future queen and this little interaction with daughter and public absolutely makes me melt!

I am not a royalist but I don't mind the royals, especially the Cambridges. I do, however, think Charlotte was a bit rude here! She's probably already aware of, and fed up with, people, people everywhere so who can blame her!

BertrandRussell · 09/08/2019 17:03

“What was her reaction?“

She obviously thought it was hilarious.....

ShirleyPhallus · 09/08/2019 17:03

According to google this is the definition of “falling in love” Grin

Do you feel like this OP?! Wink

When you fall in love, you're suddenly, powerfully attracted to someone. You might dream that you'll travel to Paris someday and fall in love with a beautiful French woman.

AllFourOfThem · 09/08/2019 17:04

The photographers often stick their tongues out or say things purely to get a reaction that they can then photograph to make money from. Saying a child is bratty or rude when they are too young to understand that they are being provoked is unkind.

BlondeAlways · 09/08/2019 17:04

Apparently the paparazzi blow raspberries and stick their tongue out encouraging the children to do it back so they can photograph it

BertrandRussell · 09/08/2019 17:05

“She's probably bored already of being looked at and analysed her whole life.”

Is she though? I think her parents keep a very close rein on the time their children spend in the public eye. We’ve seen very little of them over the years and rightly so.

BigSexyCrimeUnit · 09/08/2019 17:06

I don't think that was endearing at all. Had I done that at four I'd have got a right telling off and rightly so, it certainly wouldn't have been laughed off like that. I really loathe bad manners though.

Mybestfriendisanalien · 09/08/2019 17:07

@BertrandRussell

I didn’t read it that she thought it was hilarious. She looked shocked at first then saw the funny side, acknowledged the laughter from the crowd and grinned in response, said something in Charlotte’s ear who immediately looked a bit sheepish and then ushered her quickly away. Brilliant and very natural reaction - and very endearing.

The mental gymnastics and anguish some people will go through when it comes to admitting that the royal family are not perfect and one of their children may actually be a brat... Shock

Celebelly · 09/08/2019 17:10

Four-year-old child sticks out tongue.Shocking and disgraceful behaviour Hmm

Christ what a bunch of boring sods on here sometimes.

Pannalash · 09/08/2019 17:11

To all the posters saying Charlotte is ‘bratty’ FFS give your heads a wobble, she’s 4 not 14! Hmm

Jemima232 · 09/08/2019 17:13

It’s just an enthusiastic way of saying that I thought the moment was adorable

Oh please.

We do not need the word "adorable" used in this context.

Pass me a vomit bowl, someone.

Sceptre86 · 09/08/2019 17:13

It is silly behaviour but she is a child and guess what sometimes they are. It's entirely different sticking out your tongue towards crowds of people that you dont know and vice versa than sticking it out towards your gran(which would be rude). Her mum's reaction was natural and she may or may not have got a telling off afterwards.

ScreamingValenta · 09/08/2019 17:14

We need to abolish the Royal Family - this fawning over a 4 year old sticking her tongue out is ridiculous. Retire them all, and then at least their children can start living normal lives.

Bettyboopityboop · 09/08/2019 17:15

4 year olds can definitely have behavioural issues... Anyone who thinks that a 4 year old is never spoiled just because it's a member of the royal family has reached a level of beyond obsessed.

Breathlessness · 09/08/2019 17:22

‘The DoC seems to be blossoming into her role as future queen’

Do you write for Hello?

Wildorchidz · 09/08/2019 17:24

😐

MoreFrog · 09/08/2019 17:26

We are not amused.

Mrsmadevans · 09/08/2019 17:26

I think someone poked their tongue out to Charlotte and she retaliated. It makes good fodder for the papers. As for the Cambridge family , they are divine , l love the bones of them. Go and analyse that why don't you?

mindproject · 09/08/2019 17:27

Brainwashed sycophants. I couldn't care less what any of the royals do, they're not special. All children stick their tongue out.

presumedinnocence · 09/08/2019 17:28

I think Kate seems very natural with her dc, she comes across well. Charlotte is very cute. I wouldn't overthink things though!

BizzzzyBee · 09/08/2019 17:28

I also found it rude and bratty. I recall another time when she loudly told photographers “You can’t come in, you’re not invited”. I know she’s only four but she’s not being taught to be very gracious.

MoreFrog · 09/08/2019 17:29

It's just a kid sticking her tongue out. Hardly newsworthy. Mine would have got a telling off if they'd shown such bad manners.

IvanaPee · 09/08/2019 17:31

The paparazzi are always sticking their tongues out at these children to try and get a reaction.

Honestly, who gives a flying donkey’s ballsack they the child responded in kind to a grown man sticking his tongue out? Leave her alone!

EdWinchester · 09/08/2019 17:32

Bleurgh - I hate that this is even ‘news’ and that there are still so many forelock tuggers.
