To have fallen in love with princess Charlotte and her mother?

I’ve always been neutral when it comes to the royals. Didn’t even watch the wedding(s).

But the a clip of Princess Charlotte cheekily poking her tongue at the public and her mother’s reaction is delightful.

The DoC seems to be blossoming into her role as future queen and this little interaction with daughter and public absolutely makes me melt!

I like the royal family but I don't think images of the children appearing bratty does them any favours. Luckily DoC is quite clever so she played it off as a joke. I don't think bratty children do any parents any favours so I wouldn't exclude the royals with that. 🤷

How is a kid poking their tongue out make them bratty? Royal or not she's still a child.

londonloves · 09/08/2019 16:52

I haven't seen the clip either but seriously, poking out their tongue is bratty? Wow.

Mybestfriendisanalien · 09/08/2019 16:52

Well, that’s sort of what is so lovely about the clip. The DoC’s reaction is spot on and very natural. I’m sure words will be said in private but let’s not forget that both William and Harry, and even Charles has their moments of tongue poking as children. They are/were children and all children are a bit cheeky at times.

Not sure a little child poking out their tongue makes them bratty. It's perfectly possible to raise lovely DC who do silly stuff from time to time.

LucilleBluth · 09/08/2019 16:53

What was her reaction?

How is a kid poking their tongue out make them bratty?

We disagree on the appearance of it.

Saucery · 09/08/2019 16:54

I think that’s really rude of her. She looked fed up though, so understandable. If you want to know what the RF thinks of commoners then the clue is in the unpolished behaviour of the children, I suppose.

SinglePringle · 09/08/2019 16:54

I hate children sticking their tongue out and if Charlotte was mine, she’d be told it was rude and not to do it.

Bezalelle · 09/08/2019 16:54

They're all ridiculous weirdos. YABU.

CoolcoolcoolcoolcoolNoDoubt · 09/08/2019 16:54

I saw this picture and thought it was adorable! YANBU.

dollydaydream114 · 09/08/2019 16:54

I find it a bit creepy when people obsess like this over royal children. They're just people. All kids are cute and most parents are nice when they interact with them. I'm sure Princess Charlotte is a sweet little girl but not sure why this is any more 'delightful' than the interactions between any other toddler and parent you'd see during your day. Someone saying they've 'fallen in love with' a toddler and its mother makes my skin crawl a bit. It's a bit much.

Sparklesocks · 09/08/2019 16:55

Bettyboopityboop sounds like you don’t have much experience with kids? They act up sometimes, sticking your tongue out is hardly bratty..

Goingtoexplode · 09/08/2019 16:55

I do think it has an edge if I know exactly who I am about it

ShirleyPhallus · 09/08/2019 16:55

“Falling in love” with a 4 year old is a bit creepy

Oh give over! It’s a figure of speech.

I guess I know why some kids have very poor behaviour these days if everything they do is brushed off as just being "cheeky".

AdelaideK · 09/08/2019 16:58

You've fallen in love with a child who stuck her tongue out? That's er odd.

Sparklesocks · 09/08/2019 16:59

Bettyboopityboop actually yes, you’re right. I’m calling The Hague now to report such a crime. This will not stand!!

Mybestfriendisanalien · 09/08/2019 17:00

For goodness sake! I don’t literally mean I’ve fallen in love. It’s just an enthusiastic way of saying that I thought the moment was adorable. Bloody hell!

Sparklesocks

You're being overdramatic about another person's opinion.

slipperywhensparticus · 09/08/2019 17:01

I think the child looked tired and peopled out and they tried to get her to wave at someone 🤷‍♀️ typical kid reaction and kate was great she didn't look mortified or cross she scooted her off with a smile on her face she is a fantastic public figure mum (obviously I've no idea about her private life) but in public she is good

Here's the vid
She's 4. She's probably bored already of being looked at and analysed her whole life.

Chilledout11 · 09/08/2019 17:02

I always follow a blog on Kate and enjoy her outings and fashion. But I suppose it isn't fair for the kids to be photographed so much. George doesnt seem to like the attention. All part of the job I suppose.

Sparklesocks · 09/08/2019 17:02

Bettyboopityboop should I go stare at the wall with the other well behaved children
