Oh my fucking God a monster crawled across the baby as I was reading a book (called Unfollow Me, not ironic and recommended it's really good) and the light of the phone mean I saw this horrible hairy cunt crawl over my baby.

Squashed it dead and fuck where is the justice in life.
Drama all round.

Pray for us.

If anything crawled over my baby I would squish it... I'd probably triple squish it just to make sure it was squished!

I reckon if that thing had bitten baby it would have bloody hurt

And bites lead to infection, infection leads to sepsis and sepsis leads to limb loss or loss of life... I would have squashed thing too!

Yeah I would have squashed it in them circumstances! The big ones can give you a nasty bite..so just magune if your baba had moved a certain way to aggrevate it..could of been a different story. Yanbu in this particular situation imo

You’re braver than me OP. I would’ve ran, with or without the baby depending on how easy the spider fell off. All praise to the people who are happy to let them roam around the house, or calmly try and catch them, I couldn’t do it.

Seriously, OP, that is one big motherfucker. And I'm from the land of black widows and tarantulas! During mating season, I would see a fair few tarantulas on the curtains inside our house. That's 40 years ago and my heart still stops at the memory of it all.

My dh once got home from work to find me balancing on a kitchen chair holding my then 4month old baby, with our cat sat on the top of the shelf behind my head and a ginormous spider on the floor between us and the door. We'd been there for over an hour!
I'd turned around and it was there staring at me so I grabbed the baby and got us to relative safety at which point our cat had waltzed in, saw the spider and jumped up onto the shelf where she sat with a look i can only describe as "well, it's going to get you first".
If it had been closer to the baby I would have killed it without hesitation and I am very much in the live and let live camp! Even not particularly venemous UK spiders can cause quite nasty reactions in children. It's not worth the risk when it comes to a young baby!

Poor spider was just looking to get laid. There he/she was casually wandering across the landscape looking for a lumber when some nasty woman kills it by squishing because she’s irrationally scared of a house spider 🙄 Cannot roll my eyes enough.

A big bastard ran over my back yesterday whilst I was getting ready to feed my daughter and I completely freaked out. I hadn’t cared the day before when my husband told me he/she was about but when it started getting too personal with my body 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I’m afraid I clobbered it with a bottle of shloer the big bastard. Not having it anywhere near my daughter.

I hate people who say "you didn't have to kill it", haven't any of you ever been so frightened of anything that you want it gone within a millisecond?! I'd have killed it in a heartbeat op, especially if it was anywhere near my child. I say well done for being so brave and also for managing to not wake the baby!
