Oh my fucking God a monster crawled across the baby as I was reading a book (called Unfollow Me, not ironic and recommended it's really good) and the light of the phone mean I saw this horrible hairy cunt crawl over my baby.

Squashed it dead and fuck where is the justice in life.
Drama all round.

Pray for us.

uuurrrrg!!!!!! That is a MONSTER!

Someone said the lumps would be bed bugs. They are not. If you have had bed bugs you would know. I was bitten in a hostel bed once - 76 bites in one night!!
Long lines of bites in straight lines that itch like FUCK for a week.

More likely to be a mozzy (although they would itch too). Or a flea bit from a cat maybe?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/08/2019 22:57

Ewwwwwwww. RIP Mr long legs,
This is ironic now, but By nAme you can see I adore 🕷s. Especially little spiderlings. However im terrified of dead ones. Think it’s the way they bunch up. I’d be scared of it jumping out at me. Sorry I’m not helping, am I BlushGrin

Your babies feet are adorable by the way. Oh and those little tooties. I could eat them
all up Grin

OoohOnly90CaloriesIllhave10 · 08/08/2019 22:59

Why did you kill it, a glass and a postcard and out the window..easy!

Because it ran over my fucking baby 😂😂😂

I'm all glass and paper happy when a spider is in normal proximity. But when one of them is crawling across my face (that happened) or my baby, then normal goes right out the window.

I'd love to see someone 'capture a spider with a glass that's on their babies leg. THAT SIZE.

I had a beast of a spider run across my boob and son's face as I was just feeding him to sleep. He had only just gone off and had not settled in what felt like two days. I did the slowest freak-out spider removal attempt known to man!

It disappeared under the sofa, never to be seen again. Shock

YouTheCat · 08/08/2019 22:59

Why kill it? Put it out.

I love spiders and worms and general creepy crawlies. Fascinating things.

Omg me too! This is why I never kill them, because when they are dead they make me feel nauseous and horrified, instead of just generalised fear. I have a size limit for the glass/card treatment, anything above which DH has to chase down and deal with them.

Ineedaweeinpeace · 08/08/2019 23:01

Oh ffs! Dead is good your baby could’ve choked on that monster!

You have to move house now OP, sorry x

MyElbowIsItchy · 08/08/2019 23:01

You have my sympathy and solidarity.....I would have squashed it and killed it (using someone else’s shoe, not my own)

FlamedToACrisp · 08/08/2019 23:02

Just wait until the spider's MUM comes to look for it...

Solo · 08/08/2019 23:02

Poor thing :( - The spider, I mean!

lastqueenofscotland · 08/08/2019 23:02

Google tells me they do die if our outside so actually smashing them up is probably more humane than putting them outside and letting them die of exposure

2018SoFarSoGreat · 08/08/2019 23:02

those little baby feet. It took me a few seconds to stop looking at them, to even see the spider. Those are some particularly sweet little feet.

We all hope we don't kill them, and I do mostly put them outside, but if it was on my baby I'd kill it. dead. Without thinking. Later I'd feel guilty, but baby would be safe.

I never like your posts solo.

Thanks for the reminder.

Jesus I can’t believe what I’m reading, so many pathetic adult women who are scared of a spider that really isn’t that big and would present no harm to the baby. Honestly get a bloody grip, it’s wrong to kill anything apart from actual parasites in my opinion. I’d rather the spiders carried on breeding than people like you!

secretnurse · 08/08/2019 23:03

How the hell was she supposed to get it outside FFS?!! Look at the size of the thing, she would've needed a trained negotiator!!!

zeezee3 · 08/08/2019 23:03

Only one thing for it @OoohOnly90CaloriesIllhave10 you spider killing mutha-fukka.

To the gallows with you! The death sentence is the ONLY punishment you deserve! Hmm Life for a life and all that shit.

😂

QuitMoaning · 08/08/2019 23:03

And I don't believe any f....... one of you that says they would let it happen or capture it humanly in that situation
Absolutely capture it humanely. And then release in the garden. They eat flies and flies cause sickness and are disgusting.
I am not scared of them at all in the U.K. but admittedly in other countries I would be very wary.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/08/2019 23:03

I wouldn’t mind betting it’s quite commonplace, Anastasia. At least you know where you are with live ones

Caxx · 08/08/2019 23:03

Once my son was in the shower and a spider fell on him through the water hose
He felt it but I had to pretend it was nothing so as not to freak him out it was huge

zeezee3 · 08/08/2019 23:04

The people ranting at the OP like she killed a child.

Get.

A.

GRIP!

Northernlurker · 08/08/2019 23:04

Good work op. Any mother would have done the same. If they were brave enough.
Some of the rest of us, like me, would scream, grab the baby, flee the house (awkward as currently in t shirt and no knickers/pj bottoms) and insist somebody else ventured to Deal With It.

EustaciaPieface · 08/08/2019 23:04

OMG I thought that was your finger!

Branster · 08/08/2019 23:05

OP you are so brave! I can’t believe you killed it! How scary...
Similar thing happened when DD was about 1 I think, woke up middle of the night to hearing her scream in absolute hysterics (always a good sleeper soI thought something bad was happening), I ran to her room and in the darkness I could see this huge spider on top of her little duvet, it was soooo big. I grabbed her and brought her to our bed and sent DH to deal with the spider. He couldn’t find it although he spent nearly an hour looking for it and that was that. Terrifying, it must have looked really scary to DD.

PinaC · 08/08/2019 23:05

My mum tells anyone who listens that when I was a few weeks old she checked on me and there was a huge house spider crawling across me
She has a phobia so she ran out
Went back it was on my head so again she left
The third time it had gone she picked me up and my dad had to stay in the room when he got in till he located and removed it. She said she couldn’t have dealt with it 🤣
