Is not getting far more media coverage?

Poor poor girl. It’s horrifying to think she was alive all that time while they were out looking for her.

EmeraldShamrock · 15/08/2019 09:13

Flowers Poor kid.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/08/2019 09:44

😥

NoTheresa · 15/08/2019 09:47

I find this result odd. She was found wearing no clothes which is puzzling. Why would she have removed her own clothes?

NoSauce · 15/08/2019 09:51

She was wearing only her underwear when she went to bad.

Propertyofhood · 15/08/2019 09:54

This is so awful. Yes, thank goodness it seems she wasn't abducted, but she must have been so distressed and frightened. And the fact it does seem like she may have been alive whilst they were looking for her Sad

She would have only been wearing a nightie wouldn't she? If it was very hot and she was getting increasingly distressed, it's fairly easy to see that she might have taken it off.

Poor Nora and her poor family.

escapade1234 · 15/08/2019 09:55

She was only wearing pants. It doesn’t take a huge leap of imagination to see why she might have removed them after a couple of days.

noodlenosefraggle · 15/08/2019 09:56

She was in a very hot country, was dehydrated and disorientated. She could have reasonably taken off her clothes trying to get cool, especially if she was in her underwear.

Cannyhandleit · 15/08/2019 09:58

@NoTheresa she was starving, probably dehydrated, hot and disorientated. I don't find it odd she took her night dress off.

noodlenosefraggle · 15/08/2019 10:01

I'm not sure what benefit it is to assume the authorities, who it seemed pulled out all the stops looking for her are lying.

NoSauce · 15/08/2019 10:02

She wasn’t wearing any clothes, her parents have said she was put to bed in her underwear.

Drpeppered · 15/08/2019 10:02

Isn’t that a common thing when dehydrated? People strip out of their clothes.

youarenotkiddingme · 15/08/2019 10:10

I'm assuming none of us have ever been lost and confused in a jungle?

Therefore I don't know why people like to try and add conspiracy about her actions being odd.

The experts don't find it odd. We have no reason not to trust their findings.

Let's post our thoughts and condolences to the family who have had to live the unimaginable and not just imagine it.

Jellybeansincognito · 15/08/2019 10:24

The starvation thing is the only thing making me go huh?

Propertyofhood · 15/08/2019 10:32

I am trying to imagine being lost in a jungle in an unfamiliar country for even just a few hours. I would be fucking terrified and I am an NT grown woman.

Nora was apparently excited about going to the waterfall. I don't know how extensively the family had travelled to these sorts of places before, but I would have thought it would be highly likely that she would have absolutely no understanding of the sort of terrain and the density of the jungle that was around their accommodation. She might have thought the waterfall was just around the corner. And the other thing is if, as her mum said, she wouldn't even go in the back garden without her mum, then her parents probably wouldn't have really spoken to her about going off alone or how easy it would be to get lost in the jungle or anything like that, because there would be no need. Plus, she might not even have the capacity to understand anyway. And then if she did hear lots of men shouting her name, again she might be really scared rather than realising they were coming to rescue her.

It's pretty easy to see how this happened. It's so tragic.

Ponoka7 · 15/08/2019 10:34

@LEELULUMPKIN

There had been a report that a white Woman had been seen swimming in the stream, close by to where they were and where she was found. No Woman came forward to say it was her, so it still could have been Nora.

It is so tragic, they had searched the area where she was found dead, so they were close the entire search.

I hope if they do another autopsy when they get back home, it doesn't show that it was anything other than a tragic series of natural events.

Sleepyblueocean · 15/08/2019 10:37

I have child with learning difficulties and I can see how this happened. My heart goes out to her family. I hope they will now be left in peace to grieve.

NoTheresa · 15/08/2019 10:47

NoSauce

She wasn’t wearing any clothes, her parents have said she was put to bed in her underwear.

That is what I read. But as always people here are second guessing.

Funghi · 15/08/2019 10:47

Why would she have removed her own clothes?

  • To swim
  • They were caught whilst swimming
  • They were wet from the jungle
  • They were soiled
  • Ripped and torn and no longer useful
  • To use as a pillow/bedding
LatteLove · 15/08/2019 10:49

It’s so sad that if things had been different she might have been found alive, but at least there doesn’t seem to have been foul play, which is something.

Poor souls

Ponoka7 · 15/08/2019 10:52

@Jellybeansincognito, she was missing for a week. The experts described it as, hunger combined with stress. There's a liklihood that she became so stressed there was vomiting.

x2boys · 15/08/2019 10:55

Why would she remove her own clothes, well my son has similar disabilities to Nora ,he removes his clothes if they get wet or uncomfortable ,he's oblivious to what is " socially acceptable " plus she might well have had sensory issues .

Cannyhandleit · 15/08/2019 10:59

@NoTheresa I read your post as you were second guessing

I find this result odd. She was found wearing no clothes which is puzzling. Why would she have removed her own clothes?

Sorry if I read it wrong!

Jellybeansincognito · 15/08/2019 11:04

They’d know that though- to the vomiting.
Vomiting or not, it’s still strange.

I’m sure the right questions will be asked and investigated.

crustycrab · 15/08/2019 11:09

Jellybean it's entirely plausible. I'm assuming you haven't visited the Malaysian jungle?
