OP posts:
thaegumathteth · 05/08/2019 00:46

Hasn’t he probably just fallen asleep?

AirRaidShelter · 05/08/2019 00:47

hes showing as active on facebook.

OP posts:
PumpkinP · 05/08/2019 00:48

I wouldn’t be worried at all.

TheQueensCousin · 05/08/2019 00:48

Can you send him a message via FB?

perimenohell · 05/08/2019 00:49

Well then I wouldn't worry about him, he's just being a knob.

bouncingraindrops · 05/08/2019 00:49

hes showing as active on facebook

He is ok then? No need to worry.

Why is your ex walking your dog? Is there maybe some context that might help explain?

AirRaidShelter · 05/08/2019 00:49

so the dogs got to suffer great

OP posts:
Homemadearmy · 05/08/2019 00:49

If he's showing as active on Facebook what are you worried about?

AirRaidShelter · 05/08/2019 00:50

she won't do her business inside and i have a young child in bed. She's our dog

OP posts:
PumpkinP · 05/08/2019 00:50

It’s just a dog, not like it’s a child. Think you need to calm down.

AirRaidShelter · 05/08/2019 00:51

well can a dog go without a wee for 24 hours?

OP posts:
bouncingraindrops · 05/08/2019 00:52

No need to get made at people on here. It's your ex you need to talk to, however you should probably just look into revoking your dog as you can't look after it.

PumpkinP · 05/08/2019 00:52

I don’t have a dog but I doubt
You’re the only
Single parent to have a dog. If it needs to go it will go

helpmeiamatoad · 05/08/2019 00:52

Do you have a garden? A yard? A driveway? Any space outside your home where she could wee, even if you’re just stood in the doorway waiting?

AirRaidShelter · 05/08/2019 00:53

we both do our bit with regards to the dog. Tonight is his turn and im not mad

OP posts:
RoseyOldCrow · 05/08/2019 00:53

Could he have got the date wrong & simply be asleep, not paying attention to his phone or it's run out of battery?
It's more likely that it's something dull like that rather than anything major.

Despite the logic, I'd be a bit anxious too, particularly if it is out of character.
That said, leave him be for the night now & try again in the morning.
If there is still no news, say at lunchtime or in 24 hours, escalate a little through (sensible!) friends & family.

Good luck x

Take the dog outside the front door. Let it wee. Go back inside. What an incredible amount of drama.

HarrietSchulenberg · 05/08/2019 00:54

Do you have a garden you can let the dog out into? Can you walk up and down the street with the dog until it does a poo? If it's getting desperate it'll go quite quickly. You can stay within sight of the house and nip back in every 5 mins until poo's been done.

bouncingraindrops · 05/08/2019 00:56

we both do our bit with regards to the dog.

Well. Tonight he HASN'T and you CAN'T.

Your thread title asked when you should start to worry, what exactly were you going to worry about? Given that you know he is on Facebook!

helpmeiamatoad · 05/08/2019 00:56

OP, if you want a good rant about your ex, just go for it! No need to pussyfoot about asking when you should start worrying that he’s dead because he isn’t replying to you despite being active on facebook! Come on, I know you want to Grin

K1ssIt · 05/08/2019 01:00

He's a shit for not turning up but how come a ten pm walk is her only chance for a wee in 24 hours?

I have a lung issue and can't walk far so dh takes her in a good walk before after work and she's let into the yard several times during the day for wee. Once in twenty four hours if he'd turned up doesn't sound enough for toileting.

theWarOnPeace · 05/08/2019 01:03
Biscuit
AirRaidShelter · 05/08/2019 01:03

shes taken two to three times daily. She last went at midday so if he doesn't turn up it could be up to 24 hours. Weve got a yard only and shell only go on grass i can't leave the house

Message him through Facebook. Keep trying to phone. Let the dog outside on its own if you have a secure area, if it's desperate it will 'go'. Alternatively, wrap your child in a blanket and take the dog out
