Unkind of me but can't help laughing as girlfriend has given him the elbow now his divorce has been finalised. Apparently she refused to sign a gagging order that would have prevented her speaking about him. Ker -ching! How unreasonable. Nevertheless, I predict a monster magazine wedding in the future and much, much more to read about life with lovely Paul. And cake too, of course 🎂

I quite like the City Bakes series because of the subject matter but oh god, every time I see him doing that two handed dough kneading thing a little part of my soul curls up and dies.

Whilst he's a massive dick what goes around comes around. Did she think she got such a catch? He cheated on his wife with her and she thinks he was a decent person? Maybe she was just after the money.

As for the gagging order. I'm not sure I'd be offended by it as such. She was living off his money. His money was built from his career and his reputation (appreciate he has messed this up himself) but I can understand him not wanting he selling stories and telling tales of his private life and finances.

He would have been advised to do this by his legal and management team and there is probably far more to it.

Haggisfish · 04/08/2019 14:45

He is such a bellend.

Livelovebehappy · 04/08/2019 15:26

Karma, and you reap what you sow, spring to mind. He clearly thought this young attractive (if somewhat trashy looking) woman actually chose him for his looks and personality. It was obvious to most of us why she’s hitched her star to his wagon. And the fact she has refused to sign a gagging order absolutely proves what her agenda is. I predict we will be reading all about their sex life and his dynamics with the ex in a down town tabloid before the end of the week. What an arse he is.

Elliebellbell · 04/08/2019 16:30

I've never known anyone admit to liking him so don't understand how he keeps getting tv work.

I hate all that silver fox blue steel shite.

He's a massive control freak as well. There was some show he was on with kids learning to cook and he wouldn't let them do anything, kept interfering and taking over like the overbearing old cockwomble he is.

I'm ambivalent about bake off but that sleazy creepy handshake bollocks has me charging for the remote.

Therewere5inthebed · 04/08/2019 16:55

I can’t let the opportunity pass to mention that when he was on every programme, everywhere my DD aged around 5 at the time, told me that she didn’t like Pork Hollywood.. obviously she is a great judge of character and the name stuck in our house.

GhettoFabulous · 04/08/2019 17:27

I'm flabbergasted that man is only 53. I'd have pegged him as at least 10 years older.

VictoriaBun · 04/08/2019 17:29

How about this one.
We don't know what we are missing !Confused

As it was said to Debbie Mcgee about dating Paul Daniels " What is it that attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels ? "

brummiesue · 04/08/2019 17:33

Hi wife has kept a dignified silence?? Are you mad?? She is from the Jo Wood school of exes and contantly goes on about him at every opportunity. Magazine articles, pushing business ventures etc. Nothing quiet or dignifed about itHmm

Can someone please post the toddler in leathers photo?

Pretty please!

InTheHeatofLisbon · 04/08/2019 17:40

brummiesue no, I'm not mad.

Also don't read trashy magazines so maybe that's why I hadn't heard much of her?

But you can shove your faux surprise and snotty emojis where you keep your trashy magazines Grin

ooooohbetty · 04/08/2019 18:11

Does anyone remember the 'unusual' video posted by his girlfriend's mother complaining about the horrid things that had been said about her family. I think it was on Instagram.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 04/08/2019 18:44

I don't think that refusing to sign a gagging order reflects negatively on her. I'd be insulted if the man I'd been in a relationship with for two years didn't trust me not to sell stories to the press. And no one has a right to tell their partner that they cannot discuss any aspect of their relationship with their own family or even say that a gagging order exists - that's controlling and imo abusive.
I would refuse to sign a NDA,even though I would never sell a personal story to the papers.

I don't understand why the stupid sod doesn't just pay his wife what he owes her and then get on with his life. When you have £20 million, you won't miss ten, especially when you have a lucrative TV contract. The more he tries to screw over his wife financially, the more he damages his own reputation and puts his career at risk. He's no good to channel 4 if people come to associate him more with trashy behaviour than excellent baking!

CarolDanvers · 04/08/2019 19:45

Grin proper snort at that.

I thought that too!

Its all publicity for both of them, and they're both doing well out of it.

But seems to me quite a few chefs and cooks have stormy personal lives, and it really doesn't bother me !

brummiesue · 04/08/2019 19:59

@InTheHeatofLisbon brilliant response! Lovely little insult to my intellect thrown inGrin Alex hollywood has done interviews and articles for the telegraph, daily mail, twitter, this morning.......plenty of places other than the 'trashy magazines' you mention Wink

goose1964 · 04/08/2019 20:07

I think you misspelt twat

Sarcelle · 04/08/2019 20:17

Since you asked so nicely Chardonnay....

AIBU Paul Hollywood is a bit of a twit?
Sarcelle · 04/08/2019 20:19

I also think it is suspicious timing. On the basis that all publicity is good publicity, drums up a bit of interest for GBBO.

dustarr73 · 04/08/2019 20:19

TBF, I wouldn't sign an NDA in any relationship either, but they do seem an unappealing cast of characters.

He obviously thinks alot of himself.Paul Hollywood. Not exactly Brad Pitt,in looks or clout.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 04/08/2019 20:26

Thank you!

almost sorry I did ask now, after seeing it again in all its glory

Sarcelle · 04/08/2019 20:30

That's a lot of cow he is wearing....

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 04/08/2019 20:39

It's a lucky cow, being so close to his , erm...., chops?
