www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7298013/Meghan-Markles-organic-baby-shawl-used-swaddle-Archie-workers-earning-37-PENCE-hour.html

This is there top story. Meghan is using a cheap shawl & DM have found the factory it was made in.

She’s been criticised non stop for her spending, uses something cheap and the DM visit the sweatshop it was made in! I’m sorry but we are all guilty of this, very few people I’m sure track down where everything they buy is made and how much the staff are paid.

It’s just getting ridiculous how they’ll find literally anything to criticise.

If the DM want to expose sweat shops (something they care little about usually) they have the resources and man power to do so but they don’t give a shit they just want to go after Meghan.

Yes, well just look at uncle Andy's dodgy friends. In fact, that's the royal story the press should be after. Not what blanket Meghan uses!
This. Every single thing MM has been accused of pales into insignificance compared to the rumours that have constantly swirled around the Royals. Not least the Epstein/ Andy rumours. God knows what has been covered up in the past by the Palace PR machine. It's suspicious when there are so many innocuous nonsense front page headlines about MM, yet no more than a one line denial or a page 5 story about quite serious allegations about the 'blood' Royals.

LaurieMarlow · 01/08/2019 23:37

Just read the article.

I’d say the standard of total drivel is marginally better on here.

FattyPeddledFuriously999 · 01/08/2019 23:40

Nobody should still be reading the Daily Fail....

BertrandRussell · 02/08/2019 00:17
Grin So a member of the royal family makes a private visit to Wimbledon while on maternity leave to watch a friend play and it’s unsporting?
Zazazube · 02/08/2019 00:25

I honestly think the best thing for all would be for the papers to ignore the Sussexs. H&M have a baby: small announcement. Meghan edits Vogue. Not a big deal. Next.

Then everyone would be happy. H&M live their lives in peace and nobody cares how they do so.

Mookie81 · 02/08/2019 00:31

That article is disgusting. 'Ever so slightly black'? Hmm
Shes half black, stupid ignorant twat.

They can have their lives in peace when they stop milking the taxpayer.

midsummabreak · 02/08/2019 07:27

Don't think they'll be giving that up any time soon Janista

Not really - after all, most have been doing it longer and know who to approach for the best deal, as in "downgrade the story and I'll give you an interview / photo op / piece of gossip about them instead". The obvious example is Diana's cultivation of the Mail's Richard Kay, but she wasn't alone

Sorry for the repetition, but for me the only real mistake Meghan's made has been "hitting the ground running" in a situation she knew so little about. She didn't have time to know about it, and for that I don't blame her ... I blame Harry, who as the established family member would have known the price she'd pay

Sarcelle · 02/08/2019 08:24

I find the silence over Epstein by the media suspicious too.

Janista · 02/08/2019 09:06

Honestly - no other family in Britain could get away with acting like the royals do.

Why people can’t se this is beyond me.

Must remember to televise my wedding and ask for the police to escort me.

They act more like the Mafia .

That's exactly what I mean though. It sounds like a 'look, we'll leak you a ton of crap that is guaranteed to get a load of hits if you keep this much more serious stuff quiet. The Epstein stuff is horrific.

Badly written bollocks by someone who thinks feminism is about being nasty to men 🙄

BertrandRussell · 02/08/2019 09:42

“Thankyou Bertrandrussell for this link

Totally agree!!”

Not surprised. It repeats the largely mendacious codswallop that is peddled on this and other threads on the subject.

TelAvivLastNight · 02/08/2019 09:47

I think people either see it or they don't. I really wanted to like Meghan but there is a complete and utter lack of humility from the pair of them.

I have the same views about Emma Thompson flying in and out of the UK in first class and then being extremely vocal about climate change. It is utter hypocrisy.

The other Royals don't wind people up the same way as they don't preach to us in the same condescending and patronising manner. How anyone could read that vogue piece without wincing is beyond me.

People laughed at the banana thing (and it was admittedly quite cringey) but it ended up raising the profile of the organisation so much that they got more donations than ever before.

Sarcelle · 02/08/2019 10:04

I think Charles is just as hypocritical especially on environmental issues. Recently it was reported that Camilla had had a bad flight in a helicopter. Reading on, she took a copter from Sandringham to her home in Wiltshire or wherever it is. She was not flying to Highgrove where you assume she would live but to her pre-marriage home where she apparently lives. point is, why a private flight, why not the train. The Queen gets the train....

The Queen is terrifically wealthy but does not flaunt her wealth in the same way as her offspring. Yes, she sits in front of Old Masters and gold leaf when doing the Xmas broadcast, but on a day to day basis the ostentatiousness is not there.

TSSDNCOP · 02/08/2019 10:06

They act more like the Mafia .

Don’t be silly, they really don’t.

TelAvivLastNight · 02/08/2019 10:13

Andrews kids have a better approach- undoubtedly living lives of absolute privilege and indulgence- but you don't see either of them acting 'woke' and trying to educate the masses.

They turn up, smile and wave.

LaurieMarlow · 02/08/2019 10:17

Have you somehow missed the presence of Charles these last 50 odd years? Confused

SamanthaBrique · 02/08/2019 10:18

Oh they do, but they don't get much press coverage. Not that it's a bad thing to be involved in an anti-slavery collective or visit a charity that helps sex workers...
