Can't be be done for Section 5 offences? Does he not work? He seems to be there on a permanent. Free speech is all very well, but it's driving me mad!

Why the fuck should i have to take time off work and go and talk to my local mp? I'd like to be able to watch the actual news if that's ok with you, without having to listen to some attention seeking yob shout his head off.

Fibbke · 25/07/2019 20:36

You admire him

🤣🤣🤣

zonkin · 25/07/2019 20:39

@The80sweregreat they hang around outside to catch the politicians. That area is literally across the road from HoP. They don't always have the big set ups outside. But when things are changing rapidly you need to be there. The politicians aren't going to travel to the studios. If you want an interview or soundbite you need to be there. Both TV and radio stations are set up there. Which makes it an excellent spot for protesting.

As for the wearing suits, that is their choice to present that way. If you go down there you can see, before the live broadcasts, the reporters getting ready to do their bit to camera. They're not actually suited and booted like that for very long.

zonkin · 25/07/2019 20:42

@Fibbke well clearly you aren't really bothered about anything going on then. No issues are apparently irking you. Your MP works for you.

Perhaps the idea of democracy doesn't sit well with you.

Why don't you go down there and tell him to shut up whilst the live news is going out if it's such a problem? Too much effort eh?

Knittedjimmychoos · 25/07/2019 20:45

I think he'd reach a larger audience, if he could add some interest to the bellow.

It's very flat and monotonous.

Fibbke · 25/07/2019 20:45

zonkin what a stupid post.

zonkin · 25/07/2019 20:47

He has reached a massive audience. We all know him. Do we know the others that go down there and protest regularly. Like I said, lots of people from both remain and leave are there daily

zonkin · 25/07/2019 20:48

@Fibbke which one in particular?

Fibbke · 25/07/2019 20:50

The one where you suggest i should travel to London and go and tell him to be quiet.
🤣🤣

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 25/07/2019 20:52

knitted we used to have a Big Issue seller who would shout "scooby dooby doo, buy the Big Issue". Maybe Shouty Man can make a rhyme up to add that interest?

zonkin · 25/07/2019 20:58

It's annoying you - so why not? Combine it with a tour of the HoP. Gorgeous building. Right by the river and we're having lovely weather at the moment. You can be on the background TV as well telling him to shut up. Clearly not bothering you that much.

Or sit and moan. Nothing will change. Meanwhile, he gets the attention and you don't. He gets people talking. He has achieved something. If he's a thorn in the politicians side, then good for him. They are accountable. If the media were that bothered then they wouldn't broadcast there.

The80sweregreat · 25/07/2019 20:58

I was just concerned about them getting burnt in the heat!
It is nice seeing them outside though even if it's hard to hear them sometimes.

zonkin · 25/07/2019 21:03

@The80sweregreat I do think that the radio presenters get an easier ride in this weather!

helpmeiamatoad · 25/07/2019 21:04

@Fibbke We have this little thing called ‘the internet’ now, meaning someone shouting on TV does not point blank stop everyone in the country being able to read the news!

JoFrensham · 25/07/2019 21:35

Too hot to read all the comments but if it's Steve that you're talking about we think he's brilliant, apparently he was shouting Stop Boris instead of the usual Stop Brexit, revoke article 50 Grin

SummerSeasoning · 26/07/2019 00:09

Again zonkin you are taking comments out of context to fit your characterisation of people who are slightly irked by this clanging empty vessel but who don't plan to dash to London to shout back at him, as sad cases incapable of engaging with democratic institutions.

Is politics your career?!
